If the caps are what is making it fire and eject, then there would have to have been a round in the chamber since it fired and the action functioned. The previous one couldn't have been the last round.

So I would say it jammed. The casing stayed in the chamber while the action functioned.
Which does bring up a question about it. How hard is the extractor on the lip of the casings? How rugged are the casings to being ran through the gun over and over? Does the gun use a ramp to put the round into the chamber? How long is that going to work?

Oh, good point.  I saw the video once, and didn't quite notice...

When the trigger is pulled, the electric hammer hits the primer popping the cap, the shell casing ejects out the side of the rifle, and the bb shoots out at 330-500fps depending on the type of bb used. The cap going off makes it sound and look realistic as smoke puffs out the side ejection chamber.

Now as for how much of the process is electric and how much is powered by the cap is unclear. I would assume from the design that the cap is what powers the bb and the elecrtic motor runs the ejection and loading of a new round. Though I am not too sure that a cap has the power to send a bb flying at 300-500fps, I would not be supprised if the whole funciton is electric and the cap is just there for smoke and noise. But why dosent one of us drop the $40+ bucks and find out. ;P

Maybe it's just me but I think that this falls into the catagory of way to much engineering for no noticable payoff. Those casings are going to get lost, and or stepped on/broken in no time.

you have a point plus the gun is probably very innacurate for a sniper... no fps consistency. A good B day gift.

Personally, I think it is kind of neat. I mean for 40 bucks, it is something to plink around with around the house.

I give the inventor props for coming up with something a little more Milsim and realistic, its a good starting point to which the overall concept will grow into something much cooler.

I was just told that they've had these pop-cap type guns for a while now in Japan. From what I was told, even the high end models are more suitable for um "collecting", not field play.

Yeah, they're called plug fire cap guns.

The really good ones are desirous of collectors, but yeah, these suck. Dick.

i just have a pretty good feeling you would end up firing one round, then pulling the shell out of the recever with your hand when it doesn't eject right, mabye get two or three round that work right inbetween, then another jam.  Thats probably why the guy in the video was shooting it so slowly.
