You know, all this "if I was there" and "I would have" stuff is amusing/ego building/hardcore if you will, but if you were actually there, would you really have done it?  Since you probably answered yes to that, think twice about the consequences.  I believe that if you injure the person, they are able to take legal action against you.  If they were a minor, as it sounds, their parents could have sued.  If you would have killed the person, you would be in jail.  I don't know much about city laws relating to this, but where I work (not Tempe), you have to be certified (through an educational course) in what they call "Non Violent Takedown" or something similar to that, as I don't recall the exact terminology.  The people who are certified are allowed to tackle and physically apprehend people, because they have learned how to do it in a safe way (regardless of whether or not they did it that way).  This may just be how it is at my job, or maybe there are laws about it, but as far as I know, if you injure someone, you can get in trouble if they bring it up in a legal setting.

No, Tigerman, the last time someone injected reality into a what-if thread, the parties involved's pussies swelled to titantic proportions.

It's nice to see someone with some common sense.  All the macho black trenchcoat BS on this thread makes me ashamed to be in the same group - and considering the ages of most of the posters, reinforces the idea that it's not a game for minors.  Anyone who did any more than I did (follow the guy and try to get a description/license plate) would deserve whatever punishment they got from the cops - and thank God none of you nitwits were there to pull out an airsoft gun and get who-knows-what new laws passed against us!

At least it's good to know that there are plenty of pre-pubescent supermen here in Arizona who would be able to protect us against any crime, as long as it doesn't occur anywhere near them

Maybe think about actually going to law school before trying to tell people what you think the law is and how it applies to any given fact pattern....

but WTF do I know......

silverman at least i kno never to imitate an airsoft gun as a really firearm weapon

u could get shot and or arrested

and i do belive that this game can be for minors if those minors take it seriously enough to know that these guns can do serious damage. if used improperly

so please do not speak to us as a whole because i kno i take this game seriously enough not to f*** around with these airsoft guns

You know what is messed up. A buddy of mine was at the mall when he chased down some guy taking pictures up girls skirts. He ended chasing him out to the parking lot and wrestling the guy down, then some one else came out and pulled a gun on him telling him to get of the guy. The guy ended up just running away.

So you guys now have a new twist you can throw in your fantasy crime fighting. You never know what is in the enviroment around you.

Im a minor and thats exactly what ive said from my first post. And i agree that airsoft arizona should be only 18+ because when i hopfullay join at 18 i dont want the danger of lawsuits from the parents of minor, but i do agree a responsible minor should be able to own and operate an airsoft gun with proper protection and saftey skills. I can stick up for tyler (hurts_so_good)
paul (irish sniper) and myself for never abusing an airsoft gun in anyway. As for the what if's it can be amusing but i dont think this fourm what the right place for it.
