Hoff, you forgot the best part of the story!!!

You were 15ft. away from the guy and he explains to you that it was not a bb that hit you, that infact it was compressed air.

I've never even been in their store...and I never will.

Also. I would not recomend going to Evike in california...here's why:

I seen to recall a problem at SAD where the staff didn't double check for BB's in the mag before they let someone handle and even TEST FIRE a weapon. Well guess what? The staff at evike doesn't check either. How do I know this? Cause when I was there I got SHOT by one of the staff. Nate and Ryan were there too. The guy fires the gun, I feel it hit my bare skin on my arm, and I calmly say "uhhh...i just got shot" to the guy. He (idioticly) says, no you didn't. There's no BB in here (he was asian). And so we all kinda stood there for a sec with a WTF look...

Yeah The staff there was also absolutely cluless as far as pricess go. They had to look everything up. They new nothing about the guns. Nate asked to look at the G&G UMG on the wall and the guy points to the MP5 and say "this one?"... Yeah so if you know what you want and you only have to be there a few minutes, at least go there with eye protection on.

HAHA... I have to say i have been pleased with their online service, but wow...

Also, to back you up. My friend got an ICS ak from them with 3 or 4 bbs in the mag and 1 in the chamber. He noticed this when he went to load it up and test fire it...

i decided the only reason to go there is for either repairs (cause the tech knows what he's doing) or to buy used parts. (cause the tech has alot of spare parts) i bought a slide stock for $30, theyre 100 new. its pretty much in new condition anyway... looks like whoever owned it last never used it.

I'm glad to see i have some support. I expected the employees to be on this forum and defend themselves.

what bassick1 said is true. the tech knows what he's doing. HOWEVER I HAVE HEARD HIM MISLEAD CUSTOMERS MORE THAN ONCE.

I've heard him say "this is all I do, is fix guns."... Thats good, but he still needs to check himself, do some research, and be honest to customers.

He, and the owner, take full advantage of the fact that the technical aspect of airsoft is esoteric. (i.e. 12 year olds and their moms who come in to the store) Even to players who are more intermediate in their knowledge of aisrsoft, they know whats not widely known, and feed the stores income with it.

Jay, is the only one.  Nate is a great guy, just not very knowledgeable.

Yeah. But I didn't think anyone would believe he was actually stupid enough to say that.

Nate even saw the bb roll by on the floor after it hit me. Man. It's one thing to shoot at a covered closed area in the store. It's another to test fire (even if it's supposed to be empty) a gun in the front with barrel POINTED at the customers. $100 says that guy has never been to a legit game in his life. Or fired a real firearm. Cause anyone with an once of weapon safety training knows that first and foremost rule is to never point it at anyone unless you have the intent to shoot them...or better yet. Just don't point it at them at all.

I about died laughing when he confused the UMG with the MP5 though.

from 15 feet? compressed air cant hurt anything. whoever shot the bb tried to cover up the fact that they fired a round at someone when they thought it was empty.  "oh uuh no! it was compressed air! yeah thats it, compressed air also killed JFK, hes a sissy too! yeah compressed air is deadly stuff."
