Age limit at non-official AA games
« on: June 19, 2006, 08:48:02 PM »
Is the age limit still 18 for unnacompanied individuals at non-official AA games.  meaning games organized on these forums that are not the official AA game of the month.  I bet this has been answered a thousand times, but I wasn't able to find anything with the search function, so I apologize in advance.

I'd just like to play some airsoft.  I dont mean to challenge AA's official rules, and I respect your desire to play with no minors.  But I do hope that there is also some place for me within Arizona's airsoft community.

I understand that you have a sponsorship program for minors that are 16 or older, which I will be this coming sunday, but I dont know how to go about becoming sponsored, especially since I dont personally know anyone within Airsoft Arizona.

Cheers,
Cully

HOLY SHIT! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!

There are tons of games every month that don't require you to be 18. Some of these games do require you be 16, which isn't a problem for you. Where abouts do you live? Some of us do go to unofficial games, so you'll get to know us without going to official games. Sit tight, and with this kind of attitude, you'll be able to find a sponsor in no time.

Hey be sure to come to SWPB (south west paintball) games, they're great. Go in the june section and check those out. There is more people your age there. Me and my friends will go to the next one, I'm the youngest, they're 15 and 16. Last game I went to there and there were maybe 4 little 11 or 12 year olds but they barrely ever got in the way. They just wonder around the field talking...  The games are preety big around 40 people. If you go to www.southwestpaintball.com you can get info and directions about the field. Welcome to the forums. Oh just noticed you have an AK, so that means were already friends :). Welcome to the family.

If you really want to meet the real airsofters around here though, you most likely won't find them at Southwest Paintball. Go to real airsoft games like the one being hosted at four peaks this weekend. (Just an example seeing as how you're out of town.)

Heck, if I was old enough, I'd sponser you. You are more than welcome here.

Id love to go to four peaks.  That looks great.  Sadly Im out of town.  And thanks in general for the really warm reception.  I was rather nervous that it would be difficult to distinguish myself from 11 year olds with springers.

Well, simply by the way you have introduced yourself, you have done that already.

Now...I see in your sig you have an ICS AK-74. What do you think of it? I'm interested in getting one, but I have not heard anything about them.

What if you are acompanied by a parent then how old do you have to be for unformal games and or formal games.

I was wondering because i havn't bought my airsoft stuff yet and i wonted to know if it would be possible for me to airsoft.  I am an ex-paintballer and would have to sell all my paintball stuff to be able to afford the airsoft quipment.

If it was wrong to post another question i apologize and you can delete it asap.

Unofficial games are basically "ran" by those organizing them.

For official AA games, if your parent stays in the parking area the whole time, then, yeah, you can play. But it has to be the whole time. They can't go anywhere.

Can't comment on other games.

Bravo man, and welcome.  +1 for the good attitude, and use of spell check.  The Tucson folks have a few that stand out like you, and we'll be looking forward to meeting you at some of the big OPs.
