hey quick question what is the diffrence in the ripple sole boots to the non ones...

RIPPLE soles give you a much better stride traction on sand and loose dirt. they are also great for road marches due to a wider sole surface. they are not so good on packed dirt, concrete and gravel

i have a pair of the current jungles and ICB's. I would always wear my ICB's for humps but they are heavy and hot but wayyyyy more forgiving on my feet and ankles. But since im not in anymore i dont have the new gear so ill just have to aquire some from pendleton when i go back again :)

When I went looking for a cheap pair of boots I stumbled across this website:

http://www.uniformbootstore.com

I bought a pair of Magnum Response in Size 14 Wide for 48 bucks.   Most comfortable boots I've ever worn.  I'm a Boy Scout who does alot of hiking and I've owned about 4 pairs of the Nice Gortex Boots and I can honestly say the Magnum Response is the best pair i've worn.

Uniform Boot Store has an incredible selection of boots, free shipping on all of them, and great prices.  5 stars outa 5 stars!

I wouldn't get magnums. Not that they are bad but I would rather buy some el cheapo brand combat boots at laradas and save up for better boots than buying magnums.

Not that Magnums are a bad brand but they are not, strictly speaking, combat boots. They are really intended more for police usage, and lighter duty. I have seen a lot of guys buy them for service because they are so comfortable and affordable and I have seen every one of them destroy the boots in short order and have to go buy something a bit more durable.

I've got a pair of 5.11 tactical boots that I use for hunting. Man are they comfortable :D Since my dad and I have the same size feet, and 5.11 was having a sale, we snagged 2 boots for 80 bucks!  Those things are tough, comfortable, and slightly waterproof (you know, the water kinda slides off them like those weird new denim pants). I like 'em

Those boots are good kit, everyone that has them seems to rate them pretty high.

I simply just use regular hiking boots and they work for me good support and traction, however they totally suck when you are in water.

For the last four years I've stuck with some boots I found at Big Five sporting goods, they're RG  tac boots but they work fine and I just got my second pair a week ago.  They run around 40-60 but go on sale all the time so you can find them for 20-30, usually they are $22 for some odd reason.  But yeah, I've taken them airsofting, hunting( in several different states and terrains, and just used them for everyday footwear too.

It\'s better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The best kind of boots are the ones you get off dead enemy soldiers.  Just something about that compared to pickin up a pair at Big Five...

Of course, doing so doesn't tend to go over so great at the airsoft games.

Just kidding.

Hi everybody!
