M4 problem

first off, where is the fuse(if there is one) located at on an M4?

STORY: about a month ago, my buddy's M4 just stopped working. we thought it was the battery. we thought it might be jammed. we even thought something internal might be broken. but from what i can see, its not any of those things. so i figure, duh... popped fuse. but i cant find it.
he wont spend the 30 or so bucks just to have JT look at it. but he will drop $350 to buy a CA on eBay.  

so i took the tossed gun home to fix it up.
(extra guns are always a must right? haha)

but i dont see the problem. anyone got an idea of what it is?

The fuse is usually right there next to where you plug in the battery. If not, somewhere along the line from where you connect your battery.

thats where i thought it whould be. on my CA it's next to the battery.

but this is an SRC and i didnt see one. and i tore that gun apart.

Maybe it doesn't have one? I have no idea about SRC besides its being a newer company and more or less equivalent to TM AEGs.

The fuse is in line with the battery or it does not have one.

so what are some other problems that i should look at?

i areday made sure it wasnt jammed. the trigger isnt broken.

the only thing i can think of is the gearbox, but he bought it last year.

whould they go out that quick?

My CA M4 had gearbox problems after two months and two games.  So yes, it is possible.

I have an SRC.  The fuse is right near where the battery goes, if your model is the same as mine.  I have the original SR4 carbine, with the telescopic stock.

Consider the motor, too.  Before it stopped entirely, did it make any noises when you tried to fire it?  My SRC has died on me for the past four games straight...after being fixed each time, as well.  First time was a gear (which was replaced with CA), and the other times has all been motor sh*t.

While in the middle of a battle my CA mp5 just shut off, no grinding of gears it just shut off. I soon found out that where you plug the POS and NEG wires to the bottom of the motor one of them popped off. So all i did was pop it back in and the gun shot fine.

Does your gun make any grinding noises when it fires. If so it could be the gears, piston, or that your bushings cracked.

If there is no noise whatsoever it is most likely electrical.

There is no fuse  if it is a crane stock model
