I think this will be the next gun I will purchase. I like the look of it and its a high quality pistol. Also the performance is good from what the reviews say.
What do you guys think?

That is a nice looking gun, I think that the Tanaka is also blowback, making it a very expensive luger. My dad doesn't care for Lugers so we don't have even though i want one.

Beautiful pistol.

Very good replica so it appears.

The only thing I gotta rag on is the availability of parts.
Basically good luck fixing it if something happens.

If I ever go GBB again, I'll go KWC G17. Too many parts have been made for that particular model.

None-the-less, the PO-8 will fit right into your setup.

Reading the reviews and seeing more pictures of it, I agree, it is beautiful. The blowback action is interesting and way different from modern pistols. I think you'll enjoy this one, Mike, and I hope you get your hands on it ASAP.

I never knew that three inches was the minimum length for a handgun barrel. I guess all of the anti-gun politicians wont be able to register their penises.

Oh I will ;).

Its true the luger has very few replacement parts (if any). But I barely use my pistol(s). And I'm usually very carefull with them and care for them. Its a great out-of-the-box. Its has 400 fps with green gas, and the 8-inch barrell apperantly out ranges  most stock AEGs...

Quote from: "Arnies Airsoft review"
The long barrel with Green gas produces a velocity of between 385 and 405 fps with .20 bbs; outperforming most gas pistols apart from the Prokiller, and out performing and outranging stock AEGs.

Edit: also I'm only going to use this in the occasional pistol match and if my AEG ever fails. But mostly getting this as a collectors item.

Get it as a collectors item, becuase in hot weather thats exactly what it is.

I put real walnut grips on mine, and spiced it up with an original holster, but I seldom use it when I still go out. Propane/green gas is the only gas that it will shoot good and hard with (~340) and in hot weather, that gas turns it into a nice 3lbs paperweight (will not shoot). 134 makes the accuracy and power all but worthless. Its complex design makes it suceptable to hard use, and it wears out quickly. And dont even get me started with the leaky mags.

I don't know how many times I'll have to say this, but if you're looking for a high velocity pistol, get the KWC CO2 S&W Sigma .40F.  ~450 fps out of the box, I've never had a problem with mine. (Other than a relatively easy fix with the trigger. I've also only cleaned it when I took it apart to fix it. ;) )  Sells for about $150-ish.

The only problem? Nobody will let me use it in a game. :(

just letting you know i had a c02 sigma, all it did was break over and over. Softair gave me a brand new one, it still broke, maybe it was the longer barrel with the silencer that did it, im not sure.

that could of been it, it somtimes worked without the long barrel. And i don't think softair was my problem it was the cheap plastic they used on it. and the bad metal slide.

I'm guessing it was either the V1 (which was recalled), or it was the longer barell with supressor.  Or, you just got one of the crappy ones. ;)
