GP-KWC-1162-SH Magazine leak?
« on: August 02, 2006, 04:34:10 AM »
So I bought a GP-KWC-1162-SH (GBB) and have had it for a couple of months, and now the magazine leaks.

I assume its the nozzle, and was wondering what I can do to fix it, or to find a replacement mag, because I really enjoy the pistol.  I have looked online, but the gun seems to be discontinued.

any suggestions?

I tell this to everyone who has a leak.

Plumbers silicone grease.
This stuff is heaven in a bottle. It'll save any leak your pistol has.

Simply unscrew the charging valve or gas release valve (Which ever leaks, although I would reccomend doing this to both) and then simply roll them in the silicone grease.

This will grease up you're O-rings and prevent future leaks.

The stuff is mabye $4 at Home depot, but make sure it is PURE silicone. Check the ingredients. Make sure there is no petrol products in it.

Most likely, any bottle you pick will be pure because it needs to be safe to work on PVC pipe.

I've been using this stuff for years, and it truly is amazing.
Pick some up, it's worth it. It has other uses too. it works good for lubing AEG gears, pistons, GBB slides, and other parts that experience friction.

It's the best $4 you'll ever spend towards airsoft.

Good luck,

Dope!  Thank you very much, I'll go get some and test this out.  Hopefully its not just a problem with the charging valve itself!  Thanks for the help man!

so that stuff is truly amazing, but its the actual fuel nozzle that is the issue.  anyone have any idea where I can just buy that?

When I worked on a nitrogen waveguide assembly, whenever we suspected a leak we sprayed soapy water around the area.
The air leak will start to bubble. After that depending on what the problem is you can take corrective action.

Hmm, it usually worked for me even when it was the chargin nozzle.

Have you tried teflon tape?

Usually if you remove the valve from the mag, you can apply the silicone grease from the back and get all the internal seals lubed.
