I like my LBV with canteen on the belt and a triple mag pouch as well, don't know if I'll go with the double shoulder rig for my pistols or my cheap thigh holster though

THat may be fine for regular games but, if you ever go to a national op not only are you required to use some kind of chest rig but, you would want to..carrying that weight completely on your waist or shoulders all day long isn't comfortable to fun, neither is a chest rig but it sure is alot more comfortable!

If you don't want to do the modular vest thing, but still want a vest, shoot me a PM.  I know of some IDF vests that run just over 200.00 that have so many pouches it's stupid.

Comes with a hydration system too...

That better be my store you're recommending for this, :D

The whole concept of gear has two elements to it:

What you want to do.

What you like.

For airsoft, many times these are mutually supportive.  Sometimes they are not.

If you're doing more the mil-sim AS gaming, putting a mag pouch or two on your belt and running around in sneakers and jeans, well, is a fashion Faux Pas of the first magnitude.

the opposite is also true.

So, figure out what your goals are, then purchase gear to fit that goal.

In my case, I needed something modular in order to get custom mag pouches to carry mags for my P90.

Plus I like the Idea of having good performing gear. Those of us who use standard mags can't get away with two mags for a game.

Thanks.
I can't wait to get my new stuff from David.:)
It should work even better for my P90 stuff.
Then I can set up my current rig for my M4.

Seriously.  My vest holds 6 mags, so with standards that gives me 180 BBs ready to go at any time, plus a couple hundred in speed loaders.  More than enough for a round.  But if I only carried two, I'd really be hoping that I didn't see any fire that round.  I can't imagine holding a point with minimal cover and only 60 rounds...

Actually, I bought my vest from you at JT S.  It's one of the Infinity Tacticals.  It may not be "high end," but it's sturdy, looks like Blackhawk, and it definitely gets the job done.

I also like that you can attach that backpack thing in case I ever play one of those extended round/waypoint games that require much more BBs/water/batteries/etc.

EDIT:  Turns out I'm not quite a mathmetician.  30 * 6 = 180, not 1800.  And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why the earlier Mars Rover didn't land on Mars.

1800 / 6 = 300

300 != 68

Yeah, edited the post before anyone responded, but go figure you'd see it and correct me before I had time to press the "post" button    And the standard mags I've been looking at hold 30, but I like 68 better.  How much to TMs hold?

the longest game i played was 2 hours long. i have 3 mags TOTAL. a 300rd hi-cap. and 2 standard cap. once they had all depleted, i went back to our teams "base" and loaded the hi-cap back up.

as far as pistol mags go, i have 1 50rd and 2 23rd. thoes take a long time to reload once expended. i keep my pistol in a hip holster.

i have a speed loader, but its the mechanical kind that is shaped like a fat magazine.

i realize now that a 4 hour long game without adequite ammo or water will be hell. so i think ill go with a lbv

TMs hold 68. STARs are "real cap" or "low cap" not standards, just to correct the nomenclature.

That's actually encouraging. :)

Also, I would be interested to hear about your hydration mods....and how many of the vests do you have?

What's so great about having gear that looks like Blackhawk?
