Nikola Tesla

I got a little project I gotta do for World History, mainly involving reading a (auto)biography about someone who influenced the outcome of some historical event. I figured I should go with someone out of WWII. Are there any (auto)biographies about someone in Big Red One or the 101st Airborne?

I never knew that three inches was the minimum length for a handgun barrel. I guess all of the anti-gun politicians wont be able to register their penises.

You should do it on King Leonidas.

These are more known people... but you could do one hell of a report on any of them, as there is a lot more information out there.  I never slacked off in history, I went all out :D

Book:
Mein Kampf
People:
Douglas MacArthur
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Charles DeGaulle
George S. Patton
Georgi Konstantinovich Zhukov

It's interesting, but I need a 100-page min. biography to read and then a five-page essay to write. And I'd rather do something more modern 1700's--today.

You'll probably get a good grade if you pick someone a bit less known... Your teacher has probably read hundreds of reports on Eisenhower, Patton, Montgomery, etc.

Here's one for you, guarantee there are biographies... Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, who was the force commander at the Battle of Midway, which was "instrumental in the U.S. Navy winning an important victory that turned the tide in the war against Japan".

Oh man, WWII is so tired. If I was your teacher and I saw a fifteen year old turn a paper in on, say, the Battle of the Falklands, or maybe the Seven Days War (that's a badass war) or perhaps the French/Indian War, that'd be something. Everybody in your class is going to turn a paper on WWII in. Honest.

You could do an amazing paper on the Crusades.  That would be impressive.

I will sell you a paper on Hitler. Seriously though, do him. Everyone pulls the heroes on those kind of things, go with an anti-hero, Stalin is also a good pick. Mein Kampf is freaking scary as shit, but it is neat to get into the mind of a crazy person :P.

I'm going to write a book,
meine Scheiße.  :D

Yeah, anti-hero would be cool...  If you stick to WWII you could also do conspriacies.  Hell, that'd be a good 10 page paper on Pearl Harbor alone.

I wonder if there is enough credible information out there to write a paper on Vasilli Zaitsev..
