I say do a report on Hitler.  I know from my experience in public education that the opinions of him that most people hold are extremely ignorant and know next to nothing about him.

If you want someone interesting, I got one name for you;

Nikola Tesla.

He may be the most amazing person I've ever read about.  An inventor who actually invented half the crap we use everyday.  AC electricity, the principles behind TV, radio, telephone, remote control, hydroelectricty, etc.  Ever played Command and Conquer and used the Tesla coils?  Yep, he actually invented them, and then invented a way to use harmonic resonance to split the world in half.  He also developed theories on matter, electricity, and all sorts of stuff that only now, nearly a century later, do we have the technology to realize he was right.

He didn't influence a specific historical event; he influenced everything.

My grandpa who is no longer living.

My personal hero.

He was in the Navy.
He had the job of piloting the beach boarding ships.

The war has effected him so much, that when he was living he refused to buy imported cars.

Ahh one more thing.

I am TOTALLY AGAINST HITLER and what happened during the holocaust.

Hitler was a genius. He had a brilliant mind and if he used it for good, Germany could have risen to the top.

I've almost come to a decision. The whole reading part of the project doesn't start for weeks but I want to get some good sh*t done this year.

And so many people are doing papers on Hitler, I'd rather look into something else.

They also don't teach that one of the reasons he went even crazier towards the end, was his addiction to varioius Rx drugs.

I have an awesome book on Tesla that I read once.  It's called "Tesla" (real original, huh?) and it's by Margaret Cheney.  See if you can get ahold of it, I liked it because it was full of facts but it still kept you interested, like a novel.

Kinda.

I learned he had a horrible eye problem and had to use cocaine laced eye drops to keep away the pain.
Otherwise, it would be unbearable for him.

I don't know if there is any other videos of him, but the one I saw was really informative and talked about weopens that were made by the US based on his tesla plans. Oh and NASA showed a video of the US firing a some kinda of weopen similar to a tesla, at a UFO. SO, look for a video.
