Crosman AEG's
« on: September 15, 2006, 10:46:43 AM »
Guys,
Does anyone have any Intel on the Crosman AEG's? I'm halfway looking at their MP5 clone, and seeing that Cabela's carries them in their catalog, this may be the excuse I need to drive to Glendale ;) .

ok, i bought this 3 days ago, today (on the 3rd day) the gears stopped and the gun either jammed or the gears srtipped. this AEG is made by crossman, a trusted company, and this is not the quality at which i thought it would be. I'm returning this for my money back. and buying a $100+ gun.

The only reason i gave it at least 2 stars was, the gun fired at 600 rpm,
another thing about it is, it is not very accurate the bbs start to scatter all over the place at around 20-30 ft.

From amazon ratings.

This gun I bought on a whim, a big mistake.

Havent seen anything on major airsoft sites, does that give you a hint?

Crossman??? Isn't that the company that sells those cheap "soft air" bb pistols at Big-5?   I'd like to say if a brand new car comes out with a price of 5,000, its probally a peice of crap. There is a limit to how much one can save money on with out cutting corners and degrading the product. Though if this is what you're expecting and it fits your purpose, then its a good deal.

My lil brother bought a mini and the same thing happened. They sealed the nozzle/hopup/pistol with this rubber stopper. Except it really sucks and will popup and slide down a bit then jam the gun. If you remove it the gun just spews bbs in all directions or they roll out. And it WILL jam everytime you fix it.

i saw some good reviews for their co2 pistols, so i dropped 40 at walmart and picked it up. the co2 leaked out even w/the 12g cartridge screwed in as tight as possible, and it wouldn't even shoot across my backyard - even when i arced it!. that was last cheap gun i've bought. i doubt their aeg's would be that much better.

A freind of mine has a crossman C02 pistol, its good, for the price.  One rule of airsoft is, what you pay is what you get...

i bought a crossman CO2 Pistol, it was one of the first guns i got, like it had a great rate of fire and everything. And then it fell out of my Thigh holster because i forgot to snap it pack into place and now its a handful plastic and metal shards. In the end i don't think it was worth it.

I hope you learned 2 lessons from that.

1.) Get a good gun that won't break when you drop it.
2.) Get a good holster that doesn't require you to "snap" it(Safariland 6004 specifically).
