some experianced airsoft engineer people (its not a job they just do it for fun)  actually make custom airsoft guns from movies/shows/video games...but they only make 1 for themselves or friends.

Because the point of airsoft is to have guns that are similar in apperance and operation to real guns, no so you can act out your stupid videoRPGs with guns that dont exist. We arent paintballers we like our guns to resemble real weapons.

Besides that, there are many custom guns out on the market, most retailers have a few or sell kits for them.

e.g.  http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.ph ... T%20Custom

That and to be honest - they would not sell like crazy. There are a few exceptions..but most would find a very small (albeit very dedicated) audience.

There wouldn't be a decent community to support games featuring a full role-playing theme/genre.  Its a neat thought, and hell yeah I'd get on an M41-A Pulse Rifle, to kill some aliens....but we have a hard enough time getting people to wear distinctively different camo, let alone sci-fi get-ups.

A Halo gun would be impractical and probaly all plastic because they don't look to be metal in the first place, which in effect they would break easily in a game. Also the mags would ehtier have to be compatible with something or custom made.

i know this, but its the same as the TM Famas. which people still use. application specific mags. all plastic, except for the trigger maybe. but w/e i think one would be fun to own IF they existed.

I think the famas is a waste of money, you might as well buy a UTG. Their both plastic, except it has the marui internals which is the only thing that is slightly good about it.

yeah, the famas is a waste. and so might be a halo gun if it existed. at the same time. the only reason to but it is the "hey cool.. thats from halo" factor. nothing else. maybe fun to skirmish with. not for AA or anything. just for the looks and cool factor alone

Yea, thats about it as for the halo gun there was a guy who made one a while back. It looked cool but i doubt it could handle gaming the way i play with my ak crawling through bushing going in dirt etc.

most mass produced body mods ive seen for guns(3 of them) dont seem too durable to me they feel plasticky and look like thell explode on the first shot

And they probaly do, guns that are custom made in your house usualy are not the best of quality and problay will break after some use or maybe no use.

Meet the Morita.

And I would just for the sheer hilarity of it. I mean we are airsofting after all we are supposed to have fun or else why do it.
