KWA USP 45 vs Compact
« on: September 27, 2006, 04:58:44 PM »
I can't figure this out, and I have looked everywhere on the internet.  Is there any difference other than size and weight between these two guns?  AirsoftAtlanta says there is a major FPS difference, and ShortyUSA says that the mags are different.  If they are the same, then I think I will save 10 bucks and get the compact, but I really want the most accurate/powerful one.

Also, what are your comments on the two of these guns - like do you think they are a good investment or not?   I know you will all say to get a g19 or 18c, but I really really hate glocks.

Thanks

its like the glock. the 18 and 17 have bigger mags than the 19 for example. the compact will have a smaller mag. if you dont want a glock. then the USP is fine, i was about to get one myself. I would recommend an M9 variant postol.

and yes KWA is an excellent choice. Also, take a look at KJ Works. they make a great pistol as well.

I've looked into KJW guns, but their selection doesn't appeal to me.  The reason I was interested in a USP in the first place is that I love the real steel one.  About the magazines, some websites say that they hold the same, and that the ram rod for the compact can only load 21/26 bb's.  Is this true?  Does anyone here know the actual FPS of the USP .45?

Little background about myself:  Started off with M4505, and moved up to UHC Mp5 Sd3, and finally found myself with a UTG 870.  If the USP 45 shoots harder than the 870, then I am sold on it.

well, my glock 18 shoots 310. the USP does right around there. the KJW USP shoots 300 but has no hop up. but ive come to find a hop up on a pistol is NOT necessary.  KJW usp is right around 100 bux .Full metal

Except when that pistol is in fact your primary weapon (it's a shame I know, but I am not "into airsoft" enough to even consider buying a TM).

haha well. then the KJ will be the best choice! if you're not really into the game then theres no need for hop up. and I would spend that money on an AEG first

Ok, I understand your opinion on hopup, but I personally would prefer to have it in the gun.  Second, name one high quality AEG that can be bought in the states for $150.  No TM's that I can think of, and I have spent many hours looking through stores websites.

for like $220 you can get a TM AK-47...just save your money for a while longer and buy a primary weapon instead of blowing it all on a backup weapon.

It's something I'll keep in mind, but back on topic here, since this thread is in fact about the KWA USP 45, and not about AEG's.  I don't see why this couldn't be a splendid primary gun if you consider that there are never more than 1 AEG in my airsoft games, and everyone else has LPEG's/LP C02's from Walmart.  300 FPS would be amazing, and the hopup would give it some  more range IMO.

Edit: Try $299 for a TM AK at AA.  Also, there are a lot of hidden fees involved in purchasing an AEG, especially when you consider how much you could spend on 1 games worth of BB's.  (I am a noob, and I sound like it, but I decided a while ago that I didn't want to invest that kind of money into this hobby.  $299 base price + upgrades + extra magazine + battery repairs + shipping = way more than $299.  I believe in saving money for better things, rather than blowing it all on 1 airsoft gun, and I have many other interests besides Airsoft although it's hard for many of you to believe.)

yeah but then your stuck at "your airsoft games" and it'll be hard to play with the people in these forums. Because almost everyone on here (that posts stuff) has at least an 1 AEG when your using what I'd consider my back-up (never use unless extrmley CQ or AEG breaks) weapon.

That isn't a real problem for me.

Read my Edit to the above reply.

ummm $299 for a Tm AK-47...NOT :P  I'll go find the link right now but it's $220 plus like $20 or $30 for shipping (no "hidden fees")

damn! well at both http://www.wgcshop.com and at
http://www.uncompany.com they have TM AK-47s (plural) for  $220ish but sadly both those sites don't have a different urls for each item so you'll have to find it yourself (its easy to find)
