Delete this thread if you want.

No need for that, but realize that you're not the first, nor will you be the last to suggest what you've suggested.  Much of it, de facto as it is, already does exist on some level or another.

Well the main conflict I feel is that your looking at airsoft as one live video game arena. Well It's not and it should never be.  If you sense any hostility its because the way it sounds, you as a new comer is trying to make every thing airsoft that is not airsoft. Kind of like a guy who took a 101 course on cars, goes to NASCAR and proceeds to tell them how he is thinking of making a national race competition but with different rules and mind set.

My advice is to actually see what airsoft is before attending to such large goals.  I know many are about feed up with large airsoft competitions because they are self destructive in nature and go against what airsoft is truely all about.

Yeah, there's definately some hostility here. I'm not going to bring it up anymore. Delete this thread if you want. I'll keep it to myself. Do most of the teams here play Battlefield 2 conquest style rules? Thanks for radio advice. I'm going to check that out right now.

It is nice to see that you have serious enthusiasm for airsoft. However, it seems to be a little misdirected.

The first problem with your approach is that airsoft does not, cannot, and never will work as a competitive sport. It is based purely on the honor of calling your own hits. Most people play airsoft for fun and as a social thing. Once you start focusing on competition, the entire game falls apart as people start cheating. If competitive paintballers can try to not call their hits when covered in goo, how the hell do you expect competitive airsoft to work?

The next thing you need to realize is that airsoft already is a national thing. There isn't a "league" or any sort of governing body, but there are a lot of groups and a few well-respected game organizers who put together incredible events that draw people from across the country. A large group of us just got back from Kentucky where we played on one of the most amazing sites to ever host grown men shooting toy guns at eachother.

Don't be discouraged by everyone correcting you, just redirect your energy into going out and playing.
