Link to the Movie on Google Video

Unfortunately, the movie isn't playing at Valley Art now (which is showing the Science of Sleep, which sounds interesting to).  BUT, Russo has placed the movie on Google Video for everyone to see, for free! :)  Here's the link to watch it online:

Science of Sleep is by uh, Michel something, and it was kind of cool. I usually don't like Garcia Gael Bernal (I once saw the Crime of Padre Amaro and it sucked cocks) but insofar as artsy indie flicks, it was pretty good.

The people of America need to vote how they feel on a topic not on their political party preference. only  50% of peple old enough to vote voted in 2004 and less than 20% of that 50% actually voted.

oops i meant 50% of people in america old enough are registered

I just finished watching it.  Twas' decent, and the main girl in the movie reminded me a bit of a girl I know.  3 stars.

I personally am a liberal-center person. I agree with alot that they have to say (not that I don't disagree, but unless YOU run for president, your never going to find anyone tuned to you)

But being liberal doesn't mean that I like democrats. People need to straighten that out in their heads. Democrats and Republicans are just 2 systems that we can look too for generally the same ideas.

I would never vote for bush. I would vote Colin Powell. I would not vote for Mrs. Clinton (Mostly because shes completely and totally liberal) I would vote for Obama.

It honeslty just depends, however both parties need to stop focusing on how to beat the other and actually get something done. I'm tired of democrats/republicans trying to win elections then once they win them, they never do anything.

I'm a gun person, I'm probably going to join the military, but I can't stand this government.

Just my 2 cents.

But hey, I'm 15 what do I know right?

i like how this turned into a political debate, i think its funny, i'm an independant. i like how people bag on the other party.  there is no right or wrong answer to politics, like religion.  though people argue for that point. as for politics i say it depends on the person and not the party. like i like bush, over kerry, i do like obama over bush, i liked clinton, i think mcain would be a great pres, etc. it all depends on the subjects and how the other treats it, why should the party matter, also i like how they both change issues just to fight the other one, like little kids. well i just basicly wanted to say how funny i find this.  sorry if i'm wasting space here but i wanted to get this off my chest.

If only your peers shared the amount of knowledge you seem to have on the matter, young man.

I'm very anxious to see where this next election takes us.

I love how these film makers take shots at the American Government (whether its Dems or Rep.'s) and they say 'freedom of speech'.  If we didn't have the government we did those filmmakers would disappear as they do in China, N. Korea, etc.

I think the concept of the film is great.  Let the guy have his movie and run his mouth.  Makes people say "ahhh thats BS, we have a great government system this guy is a tool".

Through filmed interviews with individuals opposed to taxation of labor or income, Russo sets forth the tax protester argument that, "there is no law requiring an income tax" (see below), and that the personal income tax was created to support the activities of the Federal Reserve System.
Quote from: "Ghostsequel"
These anti-tax people are morons.  Taxes pay for essential services, which if we were lacking, this country would be a shith*le more akin to a rinkydink nation in Africa or South America.

Like being able to drive on an actual road?  Taxes paid for it.

Like the fact that if your house catches fire or your child falls in the pool, the fire department shows up?

Like the fact that you have a free education?

Your streets are patrolled by police, the military stands guard over our country, welfare is in place to support those who have fallen on hard times, etc.

As an American, we have a strong nation which provides us a safe place to live.  We have the right to say as we wish, do what we wish (within reason), believe as we wish, etc.  These people need to look at the US Constitution.  In exhange for all that, all we're asked to do is pay the taxes necessary to support the country and to serve on juries when called.

Rant concludes.

I personally hate to pay taxes multiple times for things....BUT....the things you listed above I have no problem paying taxes for.  It's the BILLIONS of dollars of superfluous programs that are put into the tax code by both Democrats AND Republicans to placate their voters back home to guarantee that they get re-elected.  I don't want to have to pay taxes to fund some dumb ass research project in some BFE town to determine why cats sleep all day.  Hell, the Treasury Department FINALLY stopped collecting a 3% federal excise tax on your phone bill in the middle of last year.  Want to know what it was for?  The tax was imposed in 1898 to help pay for the SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR.   Remember that one from your histroy class?  108 years ago.

You give lawmakers unfettered rights to make taxes and they will......and the taxes never go away.  The federal income tax started in the 1940's I believe to help pay for World War II..........lawmakers got used to being flush with cash to spend on projects........we're still paying.

Just my $.02.

Republican for life.

I don't think most people's problem is with paying taxes, its with where the money goes/how it is spent once the government has it.  Having said that, I'm all for purely sales and use taxes and no income tax.

I'm sorry but I cant help but think, what the hell is Media (any media) doing to the way of life we citizens live.  Is it unjust to be taxed w/out laws, yes, thats the whole reason we faught the revolutionary war, improper taxation without representation.  Do I feel the income tax is unfair? Yes but I'm willing to pay it because I'm an American Citizen, I pay for the right to live in a free country, I pay for the right to have the men and women of our armed forces defend my sorry ass in times of great danger.  I've only watched the first 25 minutes of the movie and I'm disgusted, absolutely disgusted that that bull shit was posted on an American forum, and that people pay to watch it.  Its like the damn Loose Change video which I wasted 1 hour of my life disproving every aspect of.  How can people possibly believe such bull shit?  You know what, heres what the government should do, no taxes, nothing not at all, they are going to accept Donations.  See how well the US is run then.

I dunno, I'm not going to school to be a politician and I certainly dont care, but people who rebel just to be rebels drive me nuts.  But worst of all, its people commiting UnAmerican acts of bull shit like this movie and Loose Change.  For the love of God stuff like this pisses me off.  Its not a damn conspiracy, your paying to fund the governments stuff.  If what we pay is for stuff the government doesnt want to tell us about, so be it, ITS FOR NATIONAL SECURITY.  Yeah that thing that everyone gripes about giving up rights for.

I dont know, I'm some stupid ignorant 19 year old from some no name place in the US, I've grown up on Ideals of "Trust the Government and they will get you through rough times"  but this is just too far.

BTW, I DARE someone to try and prove that the Loose Change video is remotely close to true.  DARE.
