some noobish questions but hey.
« on: October 22, 2006, 09:59:09 PM »
hey i am a newer airsofter. of corse i have had the "backyard games" with friends but never like this. also have had the $25 spring pistol or somthing as a main weapon. so i am getting into this form of "organized airsoft" and have some questions.

first yes another is this a good gun? question well linkage

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... cts_id=298

well is it? and also .. i have no idea what battery to get or anything like that because as i said before i am new and have never had a aeg or anything that has needed batterys. so can u give me some links on the battery i should get for this and the charger too . also where do i put the battery because i heard it oes in the stock? but it doesnt look like one would fit in there.

also i have some full camo and a paintball mask and some boots and knee pads would that be fine? also have like a packlike thing for ammo and mags.

last question. i heard high cap mags r bad for some reason so can u give me the best all around mag for that gun i heard it was some mid cap "whatever mid cap or high cap means"

yea thank all of u so much

That gun is great, a lost of serious players use them.

As for mags, get TM standards and you will never have to worry about mags again.

Gear and stuff will come with time.

Most AA games require you to be 18 so i tmay be a while till we can see you at a game.

It looks like the battery will go up front in the hand gaurds for this battery. I am not a hundred percent sure what battery you will need though. Sure someone on here does, if not just ask the sight your looking at.

Armalite are great guns. Yup, yup, yup.  Your gear will be good, but you might want to look into a tactical vest or a chest rig, whichever you like.  Not all games allow hi-caps ya see, so you will need some gear to hold your gaggle of smaller mags.  Serious airsofting can become one hell of an investment.  Good luck, and welcome!

tokyo marui mags are some of the best, but a little pricey for 60 rds (metal body) i would say get MAG mags. they're cheap and feed beautifully

400 fps with 2/10 gram bb's (.20's)
500 fps for snipers. 50' engagement rule
those are limits and the average for aeg's is between 350 and 400.

well, flying colors are usually .12 i believe. good AEG's need a heavier bb to stay accurate. a .12 would fly all over the place, so most players use .2's. alot of players use .23 and .25 in the field, but i personally prefer .20

a bb company is not the same as all the rest. bad bb's can in fact mess things up. bb's with abnormalities can mark a barrell, tear a bucking, jam the hop up, and the magazine. i love KSC Perfect bb's but i hear excell are the best

KJ Works' new M9 Vertec is the gun for you. i just ordered one actually! supposed to shoot 330 out of the box, and has an adjustable hop up (a rare feature in KJW's M9 series)

go to redwolfairsoft.com and get it there. with shipping itll be as much as in any store, and they're the only ones with the new vertec.
