Going to have to bail on this one.  El Tour de Tucson is on that day.
Might be a problem for parking as well around Avra Valley road, look at the tour map and decide for yourself.

the route goes around the opsite on the other side of the mountain. yeah honk your horn since vehicles have the right of way, public roads should not be blocked off from 1000's of people just cuz 100 ppl want to ride a bike. anyway, it won't prevent us from playing.

Either way I won't be there, already called Vince.  BTW El Tour De Tucson, isn't a couple of hundred people, its a couple of thousand (last year 8,000+)

Have fun guys, catch ya at the next OP, I'll be out hunting!

I should be there in the afternoon on Saturday with two others.  Given the situation (two of us are at UA down here, one is flying in from TN), all we have with us are black fatigues.

This game was horribly organized.  I didn't come down expecting to be thrown into putting something together, if that was the case I would have just hosted my own game and had stuff planned out better.
The only saving grace of this game was all the Phoenix area players that made the trek down to play.  Camping was a lot of fun too.
Thanks for the effort though.

Even with the rough start it was fun. To those that might be confused of mad about anything, blame yourself no one spoke up with ideas, got people up off their asses to play, etc. To the guys that just went to play thx. it was a blast. Tan got green, green got tan, lots of fun. Once the qwerks were worked out there was a lot of shootin. Flat out  that was FUN!
Next time lets pick a color and stick with it on the roster. Thx again.

BTW whoever I shot at sundown over by the wash. I hope your alright I think i hit you the face. Sorry thats all i could see.

sorry for the confusion, my bad.

I guess next time I can take over, be a head dick, tell everyone how and where and when , oh boy that sounds like fun already.

Let me know when you set up your own game, I will come to play at yours and see how you run it. I have room to learn more but I remeber very few playeres putting in ideas BEFORE the op, but after the fact it is very easy to BIATCH isn't it?
In fact reading back through the posts only one person sent in an idea and he did not even show up.

I guess I can run a more organized scripted game down to time lines , regs, rules, no room for changes, or other peoples good ideas , if your late for the opening brief you don't play type hard nose stuff, just like a real MIL. op, or if your out numberd two to one who cares , you adapt and overcome, it is a war simulation, when do you ever go to battle with the best of conditions,  YOU HAVE NO SAY LIKE IT OR NOT, if you ever served you know what I am taling about, 90% sit 10% action , unless you in country right now in Iraq, it was still better than staying home wishing there was game to attend some where by some one.

To ALL YOU BAD ASS MO FOS THAT CAME DOWN TO HAVE FUN, A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY MAG WELL! YOU GUYS KNOW WHO YOU ARE, YOUR THE REAL DEAL AMOUNG A FEW TWISTED PANTY KNOTS.

Sorry i didn't get there earlier on Saturday... but i still i had a lot of fun, and so did my friend... who is also thankful for you guys having him out there with us.  But yeah, if there is a game planned for two days, with camping... and it's supposed to be Phoenix players vs. Tucson players... then the visiting team who actually put in the effort to make it to the game, driving for over an hour and a half... should expect the home team to support the plan... know what i mean?  I came out there expecting two teams, and a campout... along with a good plan on scenarios and such.  Planning didn't seem all that good, and most of the Tucson players seemed to have left, instead of camping... at least from what i noticed.  Don't get me wrong, i had a lot of fun, as always, and enjoyed the AO.  Thanks...

From what i saw, every tucson person that was there played. Even the night games.

I agree with gunfighter, instead of not playing, you could have suggested something. Or at least played some of the force on force stuff we had going on at dusk/night.

Rough start, but what little action there was, was great.

Why go from one extreme to the next? This event wasn't well planned, that's already been established. However, most of us made the best of a bad situation and ended the trip on a high note. No one is saying that every little detail needs to be planned out or you can't change things on the fly, just try to keep the action flowing in a safe and logical progression that emphasizes fun for the players/teams involved. I think it's a great idea to check out a few of the games ran by Airsofter1 (of Airsoft Arizona fame) or Taz (from Airsoft Addicts) to get some ideas for this many players before taking on a task this large.

As for offering suggestions about the game BEFORE the op - If you needed help with ideas, you should have asked. Your initial post sounded like you had some cool ideas in the works, so why would we, the players, step on your toes and try to change a game we haven't played yet? Criticism normally takes place after everything is said and done so the NEXT game can be better. Learn from the mistakes, throw out the bad and enhance the good.

Like I said before though, overall it was a great time to get in some much needed trigger time and hang out with my friends, as well as make some new ones. The AO was cool, the weather was perfect, and the action today (Sunday) was intense!

Planning aside, I had fun and I wouldn't mind coming down again for more play at that AO, it was a beautiful place to play some airsoft.
