EVERYBODY here needs to see this
« on: October 26, 2006, 09:57:58 PM »
I don't know if anyone is familiar with NOOMA, their statement, or Rob Bell.
So, I will give you a BREIF summary.

NOOMA's statement is basically to pull God into modern day issues that everybody deals with, religious or not.
Another thing about NOOMA is that you don't have to be religious in any way in order for their message to hit you positively.

Many people, wise, ignorant, old, young, etc. can appreciate these short films spoken by a pastor of some small hometown church who goes by the name of Rob Bell.

This particular video is about the unnecessary "Luggage" we carry around when we hold grudges.
I enjoyed this one the most out of the series because it's down-to-earth and it gets the point across no doubt.
BTW, it's only a 3 minute snippet, but still contains the core information.

Watch it through.
Learn something.
Set someone free.

This video is entitled:
006 Luggage|Rob Bell

-B00M!

P.S.-Myspace reduced the volume a bit after transferring. You may need to turn your computer speakers up a bit.
No, this isn’t some lame-o scary video.
Please take it somewhat seriously.

Rob Bell's done a great job of spreading the word.

It's nice to see you putting yourself out there in hopes that at least one person will see and appreciate the message Rob has.

That video seems to have some elements from positive psychology, emotional intelligence, social intelligence, and even a little out of quantum physics beliefs. Your life is all designed how you perceive the world around you, and if you want to really get deep and philosophical you can dictate how life unfolds before you. It is your choice how you let events affect you and what you want to carry with you.

Half way through, I thought that the guy was going to write me a prescription for Zoloft, to help me deal with my social inadequacy.

Ok, I know I'm retarted, but I didn't really understand what he was saying.  And is he really a pastor?  He seems kinda young to be one.

Good on ya man. My pastor gave me a bunch of these a while back. I like the NOOMA series.

EDIT: Ok. I never saw that one before...and I definately didn't expect that ending.
