Question on Gases? CO2 or Red Gas
« on: November 17, 2006, 01:21:37 PM »
Can anyone tell me which will produce a greater velocity for lauching nerf footballs, co2 or Red gas?  Thanks.

It depends on the abilities of your 'shell'.

CO2 will go farther but requires a special charger and special shells. If you go to Madbull Airsoft's website (incompatible with Firefox), you can find which shells are compatible with and designed for CO2 as well as two filling devices.
Furthermore, CO2 shells are not allowed at Best of USA Marketing events.

Red gas is in kind of a limbo, like, sure, it will go into standard 'flon' shells but it will blow the seals.

Are the co2 shells allowed at AA events?  My only intention is to launch nerf rounds not bb's.  Why are the co2 shells not allowed at Best of USA
Marketing events?  Thanks.

The AA CoCs predate the invention of CO2 shells, so, the best way to state is that they're not not allowed.

CO2 shells are not allowed at Best of USA Marketing events because they can potentially launch howlers at a dangerous velocity, and someone put a Madbull slug through the radiator of a Zussman vehicle at OPI3.

Was it a rubber slug?  I thought you couldn't buy those in the US?

Well, you can't buy foam filled cans or airsoft items with unauthorized trademarks here either...

You can't buy them IN the US.  Hong Kong retailers just ship them anyway.  Plus, only 3% of items coming into the US are inspected by customs.
