Most places seem to be getting weekly shipments, so it's a matter of being at the right place at the right time; or asking around to see when an order will arrive and then get there early.

Go to best buy on Thursday around noon ;)  I walked in and they had 20 PS3's and 35 Wii's, I just happened to walk in for a CD and walked out with a PS3.

Nintendo is offering to replace the original thin straps with thicker ones for free.

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/strapreplace.jsp

I'm not too worried about them breaking, but free stuff is cool.

yeah the cords on the controller are pretty weak. people were writing letters to nintendo about how they cracked their big screens and plasmas, from the cord breaking during gameplay like the bowling game. kinda funny, unless it happened to you :(

You would have to be like, retarded, and have a terrible palsy to throw the controller. I dunno, I have a Wii and a couple wiimotes and I play a lot of Wii Sports and I've never had to rely on the wrist strap. I have seen the pictures, though. I dunno.

Christ, I got a Gamestop giftcard to buy a Wii, and haven't been able to find one yet. Every Gamestop in town says to call throughout the day to see if they have received a shipment. Even if I were able to catch them when a few arrived at the store, there sold out in 15 minutes. I give up, I'll wait until the hype blows over.

I don't really care about what other people are saying, and you shouldn't care what I'm saying either, it's all preference, but Nintendo Wii sucks.  I used to like nintendo, but they strarted heading downhill soon after nin64, and their gameboys totally got blown away by sony's PSP.  Anyway, I don't know that much about game systems so I'll shut up now!

It\'s better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
