According to:

http://gacc.nifc.gov/swcc/information/f ... ons_az.htm

There shouldn't be any restrictions. (The maps are kinda hard to read, and I'm not overly familiar with the area.)

This sounds great. I'm a noobie trying to get into the hobby, after having small skirmishes with a friend who moved away about a week later leaving me hanging. I'd strongly like to go to this event, however work will most likely get in the way (unless I can switch nights; doubtful  :( ).

Some concerns would include:

-Carpool from the valley, perhaps?

-And, not having ever done this in quite awhile, nor camping since being diagnosed, would a small lunchbox sized cooler with cooling packs be safe out there to hold a single vial of insulin?surely it'd be able to fit into a backpack or something, but I guess i'm asking if it's usually rough out there. (since it' a nightly only thing, perhaps just enough for saturday night, and have my ride show up with Sunday's dosage?)

Also, as being new, i've read up on guns/gear etc, yet still am not clear as to what would be best, if anyone would care to help out a noob/listen/share some of my ideas, please send me a PM.

So officially, this is a 50% chance of being able to show up, Just need to talk it over with the boss.

I would also be interested in going if someone has a ride/space for gear and depending on the desired departure time. I am also happy to chip in for gas.

my brother is diabetic also, i think that if you just put it in a small pack with an ice pack, it'll stay plenty cold. if not we'll have extra ice in our coolers. i would'nt count on a ride for your second dose, jus bring it with. as far as guns and gear... it's mostly prefrence, from my experience, anything tokyo marui and classic army will be a good quality buy. i have a m15 a4, find out what is your style and best fits your function, like something with range, short range. quiet... etc and then go with what looks good to you.

Right, I realized how stupid that'd be almost immediately after posting, but couldn't edit as I had to go to work. The way it's looking, I need to talk to the boss man about switching days to get sat + sun off, and finding a ride as the P.O.S. Buick probably couldn't make it, sadly.

As for brands and such I've read much about TM being a good brand, but getting one would be an issue. I've kinda been procastinating when it comes to using banks, and pay for everything in cash. (So unless someone has one in the valley they'd be offering to sell, i'm kinda screwed for now). Although odds are i'll end up getting the SL8 (MGB) at JT i've been waiting to arrive, and a TM when I can (seems I'll be putting lots of cash into this hobby, as the others anyhow).

Thanks again,

Alrighty I'd just like to post up since we are getting close that this game will be starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday so plan your trip accordingly to arrive before 10:00 AM.  Remember to bring food, drinks (Preferebly water).  At 10:00 AM we'll go over the rules, safety, notes about the area, and general info and we hope to be playing by 10:30.  From 10:30 the games will go until sunday monring around noon.

If it matters to anyone here is what I'll be bringing to give you an idea of what to bring.

-Gear Guns, Ammo, Batteries
-FULL SEAL GOGGLES (Not shooting glasses)
-Food
-Water (Alot, probably several gallons)
-Car
-Sleeping Gear (Blankets and Pillow, however I dont plan on bringing them on field)
-Toothpaste, Contacts Stuff other toiletries
-Cell Phone and charger
-Calculator
-Extra Socks
-Rain Gear

Right now in Prescott (which is almost exactly due west of the site) is around 62 consistently.  It will be a little chilly so bring some decently warm clothes.
