9.6 large type battery

how long does it take to charge just with a standard charger my bro told me 13 hours and i find that unbelieavable does anyone now the avearage time?

Depends on how much Mah. No way it takes 13 hours! Cut that time in half.

It's entirely possible that it can take that long, depending on the mah of the battery and the output of the charger. Look online for a battery charger calculator (free) and follow the directions.

i cant find crap i just got a G&g rk104  and im trying to figure out how long i have to wait for the first time charge and i dont even know what mah is

My advise would be to go to JT and pick up a better charger that will charge your battery fast and turn itself off.

+1 get a smart charger, overcharging your batteries can be damaging, those automatically shut off at peak charge, and most come with a discharger.

What battery would take 13 hours to charge?

Iv'e been using a crappy $10 charger and it only takes about 6 hours or so to charge my Large 9.6v 3600 mah Battery. Are you saying there is a 7,200 mah battery out there?

my bro just told me that it was 13 hours and i didnt see that that was very believable but now i guess its not because my charger is just a standard one to

here how you find it out, take the mAH of the batter and divide it by the mAH output of the charger and times that by 120%

ex. my battery is 4200 mAH and my charger has an output of 500 mAH

so i take 4200 and divide it by 500 giving me 8.4 then i multiply that by 120%

giving me 10.8 hours to charge

Save yourself the trouble and buy a smart charger. Who really wants to have to be there to unplug the charger when its done charging. If you forget to unplug it at the right time and let it run, it has negative effects on the battery as well. Batteries arent cheap, a smart charger is a wise investment.

Read his post again, depends on MAH of the battery and the output of the charger.  I have a charger that does 250ma and if I charge a 3,000mah battery it will take 14hrs. Brandon no one can help you if you dont provide any information. So until then you're on your own. If you want to be pointed in the right direction, I'd suggest researching MAH or milliamp hours.

I bought a universal smart charger. Was 30 dollars and charges my 9.6v 3000mAh battery in around 1.5 hours. You can set it at 1.8A charge rate or .9A. Heres the Link

Also remember a faster charge is not always the best thing you want for your battery.

Yes, but an inefficient charge what you don’t want as well. Usually the mAh rating is on the battery somwhere. If not you can also judge by size. What are the dimensions? But yes, either get a smart charger or quick charger
