2007 Motobecane Fantom FS Comp
Some of the components/specs:
-Weighing in at 31lbs
Not the lightest bike, but the geometry of the frame allows for easy climbing and EXCITING decents.
-RockShox Tora (For all you RockShox fans...Dave
)
A great way to become introduced to dampened RockShox. It has adjustable dampening and adjustable travel (from 80mm-130mm). This model of the Tora, sadly, does not have adjustable compression or a lock out feature.
-RockShox ARIO 2.2 (Rear shock)
AMAZING!
It has a flip switch lockout (PERFECT for climbing). It is pneumatic with adjustable hydrolic rebound.
-AVID Disc Brakes with 180mm rotors
Definitly one of the strong points. These brakes having INCREDIBLE stopping power. Completely adjustable pads makes it easy to have the rotor perfectly centered.
-Shimano Deore/XT split.
The deraillers are VERY responsive. Smooth transactions at the speed you would expect from higher end Shimano components.
-5 Point Rear Suspension with SEALED Bearings
Keeps the bike and rider and very centered and since the bearings are sealed, you can ride through mud, water, sand, etc. without having to worry about rebuilding your rear suspension after every ride
-Steel Sprockets
LESS WEAR!
I will RIDE this bike until it rides no longer. I am VERY satisfied with the whole package.
For a Full Suspension (FS) bike with such components, the price is unbelievable. The full package cost me about $1080 and it includes a LIFETIME warranty on the frame
Mountain biking is unbelievably addictive.
-B00M!
SOME eye candy for ya:
