im going to buy this vest in the ACU camo, but is there any defects or anything that i might need to know or not know or any help would be appriciated. All im going to do is hold like 4 clips and battery cause i dont really need anything else besides maybe a radio.

If that is all you are carying then get this and save yourself $10

http://www.evike.com/Merchant2/merchant ... Gears_Vest

But IMO both are cheap in both materials and construction but for your first piece of gear that is fine if you are on a budget.

4 mags...

Buy a vest from JT for the same price(im including shipping). Has everything you need pouch wise just not ACU. I can only see bad things for a cheapo hydration carrier.

That Plate Carrier came with nothing on it so pouches will cost you.

EDIT: And yes djmtott you are correct. Evike has horrible customer service and they are very bad with orders. Airsoftretreat has whole threads of order mistakes and their refusal to correct. Even shipping different barrels(sometimes cheaper without refund) due to stock. Avoid them.

AirsoftGi is a good alternative.

When you do get a rig, I would make sure that you have some way to carry a water bottle or canteen in addition to a hydration system.  while hydration systems are great and I am a true believer in them, a nalgene bottle is MUCH more reliable than a camebak, consider that nalgenes are pretty much indestrucible.  I personally have had a camelbak fail on me (while backpackign not airsofting) and I still had like, 10 miles to go.  Good thing I had a nalgene as a back up.

Just a precausion to consider.

I don't think a backup water supply is really necessary in this case (or in airsoft in general).  A $30-$40 dollar rig is much more likely to fail then a Camelbak.  Plus I have been to very, very few airsoft games where water was not within easy walking distance.

yea, i wasn't specific enough, I would definatly have a back up water for like, LC or something like that.  Honestly, you're right, there's alwasy the car, but if your camelpack breaks you have no other hydration option, like, you couldn't carry water for any other game after the one it failed in.

I personally carry 4 liters (yea its a tone, but i drink A LOT and if anyone got dehydrated or anything, I would have some for them) 3 liters in my camelbak and 1 in my nalgene.

On the topic of rigs.

BLKKROW, i honestly think you should save up some money and get a nicer rig.

Just go for a JT rig.  Holds 6-8 mags, has a pouch on the side for a canteen, 2 internal pockets, and a bib to attach more if you need.  Costs like $40, $50.  That was my first rig and I still like it.

start sending me links, cause i am in debt of $1,000, that is due in may so at the end each month i can only spend around 100 bucks so this month i am buying BDU's and next month my rig, then mags/battery/bb's. So i send me some links guys cause i am a small person and cant care alot on me cause i run and sprint in the battle field and slide and dive and stuff so any links would me alot.

One I used to use.

The one most people use. This is probably the one Ghost is talking about.

He could carry 1 AK mag per mag pouch on the front, if he takes off the flap.  So, 4 total.
