wow dude you need to get off your high horse and cool off. Making and owning your own field is easier said than done. If you are going to actually build and make some kind of faucility, your friends are eventually going to bail on the idea because one: its too much work for 100 degree heat and two: I'm sure they would rather play airsoft or do something with their life like work or soemthing over the summer. Owning and operating your own field without charging is a great dream but wont happen. Money would start coming out of your pocket if you wanted to continue building and upkeeping the field. Plus if you knew anything that the Mauraders were actually doing you would know (not sure if this is acurate but i heard it from one of my near by airsoft stores) that they are going to leave the airsoft direction and go into law enforcement training (don't know if I should have said that or not but im getting tired of people revivng this). $3,000 is nothing for private lawenforcement companies who are looking to train their guys with some of the most realistic senerios. So for all of you who hate the Marauders or don't even know whats going on, quit reviving this thread, its old, find something new to rant and rave about.

you = funny. I'm not looking to start a tactical training facility, and as far as I'm concerned I assure you that we have the money, the integrity, and motivation torwards this. It's good to own 12 acres. And 100 degrees heat? Pussy? 120 I'de say no. Plus working in the dark isn't as hard as people think when you have the power supply and a good enough light source to cover a section. So no worries. Plus if your at a tactical facility you're more likely told what to do. Where as our place, it is squad based combat. So we got the plans(which we have been doing the past year)

actually for about 3000 you can go to and be trained by H&K's tactical group. might be a little better

personally i think it is a great idea, keeps them from coming out to our games.

I hope (names withheld)  can pull it off. What I saw of them in action was sub par, but they know how to camp out and drink. Nice gear though, I guess

but that said maybe what we should do is copy the idea, we need 6-7 more spots just like that where the elite can gather and tell them selves how cool they are and how lame the rest of Arizona Airsofters are.

I am over 21, own my own business, have the cash $300, $500, $3000 whatever and  still would not give it to them for CHITE.

The cash would be better spent on my kid's education, fix my roof, repaint one of my cars a new color, burn it on top of a pile of dog poop

After 4 years serving my country (in the infantry 0351, not a ranger cook, or combat clerk) and now finding a hooby where I can exercise my need to shoot people with out the dead part, it would have been nice to get away from the A$$es in the world, but alas I see that even in the sport of airsoft there is always 1 or 2 or 5 or enough not to care to count!

I wish them the best of luck and truly hope they sign up several hundred people to join.

Okay, I think I need to clear something up.  It seems there are few individuals posting on this thread that have their "Mikes" confused.
Let me clarify for all:
Airsofter1 = Mike (me)
arsenal = Mike Simpson (the other guy)
AAMike = Mike Simpson (the same other guy)
Marauders Airsoft = Mike Simpson (again, the same other guy)

I wear nametapes that say "Mikeyli".  He wears nametapes that say "Simpson" and sometimes has his old Air Force rank sewn on too.  We are not the same person.
Mike Simpson (and his brothers) are the ones behind this Marauders Airsoft thing.
I host official AA games.
Mike Simpson does not attend very many other games outside of his own thing.  He does attend the occasional national op, as do I.
I go to a lot of other games other than the ones I post on these forums.
We both have black hair.
I am a little taller than him.
He is average build.
And I have a slender physique.
He was in the Air Force, I was in the Army.

Those "guys" at that one Tucson game that aztacgunfighter is referring to were two guys that consumed very much fine Bud Light all night.  Come morning they were not hung over, but still drunk.  The rest of the bunch were good to go.  Only problem was we had to guess when game time was...

There weren't any Marauders at that game.

kind of like watching reality TV. Only with airsofters, a fourm, and when all is done no one gets voted off the island.
