« on: March 22, 2007, 09:06:56 PM »
Well...Today I went to JT Tempe and saw that they have the m14s in stock. What is everyone outtakes on the gun? Is it worth it? Im thinking about gettin it. So, I would like to know what you guys think about it. Other than it looks awesome, havent seen the thing in action.

If you end up buying one, I'd sell you my Marui innards for an M14 (everything you need to make it a Marui M14) for like $50.

Its a rebranded AGM M14 which is(TSD is Team SD which imports alot of guns to the US, they are like UTG, which ironically is still an AGM)... well, ok...  When my friend got his AGM m14 i was impressed with what you get, but overall it doesnt feel as good as a TM one but thats what you get for a fractino of the price.

You might want to change the Hop Up unit with a TM M14 Hop Up unit because the one on the AGM's and rebrands are pretty knaff, they dont adjust well and can move during firing.  As far as internals go the AGM uses V2 (YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT) V2 inner parts not V7 like the TM M14, which is a bonus for people looking to upgrade.  I think that excludes the Cylinder and Cylinder head but everything else is V2.  It does take TM Compatable mags so finding mags is easy.  The battery is also pretty patoote.  Go buy one and to tell me if the charger that comes with it is a US charger or foreign (You can tell by the pins on the charger)  The AGM one comes with a slight problem that the wiring needs to be reversed so that you can use regular batteries...

My recommendation is to buy a gun that is more trustworthy simply because these "clones" arnt as new user friendly as the companies, that make them, wish they were.  If this is a "Project gun" then by all means buy it, but if your a newer player I'd consider getting something more reliable...

my $.02

If they are AGM m14, they are awesome for the price (look up some online reviews) as to getting them look into Evike.com they are selling 'em $130 shipped with 2 hi-caps and have them in all three colors

King Arms, Deepfire and G&P don't fit.

Haven't had a TM to test yet, but, if those don't fit, I don't know that a TM will.

The outer diameter of the input nozzle in the magwell on the AGM M14 is too large to fit into the feed tube of the TM M14 compatible magazines. You could enlarge the magazine's feed openings larger without affecting the performance of the magazine, or you could reduce the outer diameter of the magwell's input nozzle on the gun.

A fun fact : the AGM M14 chronos 320 with .2s out of the box and has a pleasing rate of fire in full auto with an 8.4v battery.

AGM=AGM
TSD=Kart

They are two different companys that make two different m14s.

From all the reviews the TSD will not fit standard TM mags but the AGM can accept them but it's a real tight fit. But without a AGM(next week) I can't say anything about it. Airsoftretreat explains the difference.

MPEGs work fine for light to moderate use. My AUG has been going on 8 months now and the A&K S System still hasn't broken.
