That's unfortunate -- I'd bet it still gets cancelled, but now the producers will have a story that ends without resolution, perhaps with the hopes of being wrapped up in a two pack of shitty made-for-TV movies.

They got to Earth and the Cylons had already destroyed it or taken over can't really remember. But they had an episode after that where Starbuck was marooned on some planet with a Cylon and they had to work together to survive. Eventually they bacame friends and the Cylon sacrificed itself to save Starbuck, thus ending the inevitable gay love scene that was sure to ensue.
