Dynamat + P90 Project
« on: May 26, 2007, 09:05:56 PM »
I realized that this is not a new project and that this has been done before. But in all my searching, I have not found any pictures relating to this project so I'm posting my exprience installing Dynamat in my TM P90 TR to get it as quiet as possible. Let me know what you guys think because my girlfriend thinks that I'm a complete idiot/dork...  ;)

The battery is going to be in a battery pouch mount to the back bottom of the P90. The hurricane stock extender will also have dynamat and will also be customize to accept the battery plug. The front of the gun will also have dynamat but I have not yet completed the entire project. I'll be posting more pics soon! I'll be using the stock suppressor with foam.

Sounds like a totally awesome plan except it wont work because it wont absorb the sound of the gears moving.

My plan worked even though that gears are still loud. I just wanted a quiter gun not a silent one...

Isn't that exactly what I told you earlier today about the dynamat not absorbing gear noise?   lol

If the weapon is shimmed well, the gear noise should also be minimal. The P90 is the best weapon to make extremely quiet, just ask Spazz.

I agree! I shimmed it as best as I can. As I was saying to Pilz, maybe I'll reshim it again as I have more time. But the problem is that I have Helical Gears and they are a tab bit thicker than the orginal gears so shimming it took a long time. It was messing up the anti-reversal latch and making it stick.

If anyone is a pro shimmer....let me know if you wanna check it out!  :)
