Civil War 2007
« on: June 07, 2007, 01:35:58 AM »

TEAM SUMMARY AND UNIFORM INTEL

There are two (2) main teams for Civil War.
There will be the Earth Vanguard Enforcement Nation.. also known as the E.V.E.N. forces.
And their opponents.. the Oppression Defense Department.. also known as the O.D.D. forces.

There will be a specific chain of information and command that will be given out during the registration process.  The intelligence contained, will be your objectives and targets for Civil War.  It is your responsibility as a members of your designated force to secure a victory by completing the objectives set forth.

Each team will be under the direction of one main Brigadier General at their teams JOC (Joint Operations Command).
From there, these Generals will pass along intelligence gathered via satellite imagery and field combat reports.  The Company Commanders receiving this intelligence will then relay such intel and details to their Company Leaders.

It is your job as soldiers to take the intel given to you with the utmost precedence.  The intel that you will receive will be as 'real time' as is reported from the front line.  This means that if your Company Leader tells you that hostile forces are coming your way.. you better get ready for a fight.

Each team will have 'EMBEDDED' staff members that will have a particular job to do. They may also be your squad leader and their jobs will include, but are not limited to, directing assaults against objectives, organizing defenses of objectives, developing attacks, fall back positions, contingency plans, tactical extractions and security details.  They are under the direct command of JOC and have the highest amount of field intel.  It is strongly advised that you listen to your company leaders and stay in constant radio communication with them.

Your designated team will have a specific UNIFORM CODE that must be adhered to in order to accurately decipher teams within.  The UC is as follows:

E.V.E.N. - Earth Vanguard Enforcement Nation Forces - authorized uniform
- U.S. Woodland Traditional BDU's including trousers, blouse and cover.
- U.S. Woodland MARPAT - Digital camouflage - including trousers, blouse and cover.
- Solid OD BDU's or Jump suit - including trousers, blouse and cover.
- U.S. Woodland or OD shirt in place of a blouse *see below*
- Any color boots and misc. gear is acceptable.
- Any color 'painted' weapon is acceptable.
- Any color Tactical or Combat gear is acceptable.

*************************************************************

O.D.D. - Oppression Defense Department Forces - authorized uniform
- U.S. 3-Color Desert BDU's - including trousers, blouse and cover.
- U.S. Desert MARPAT - Digital camouflage - including trousers, blouse and cover.
- U.S. 6-Color Desert BDU's - including trousers, blouse and cover.
- 3-color/6-color or Coyote tan/brown shirt in place of a blouse *see below*
- Any color boots and misc. gear is acceptable.
- Any color 'painted' weapon is acceptable.
- Any color Tactical or Combat gear is acceptable.

*************************************************************

Special Roles Uniform code:

EOD: Explosive Ordinance Disposal

Additional uniform requirements:

- Helmet REQUIRED – Maybe a PASGT helmet, MICH helmet or Protec helmet
- Helmets MUST be worn AT ALL TIMES when playing the ‘role’ of EOD.**
- ALL helmets must match per EOD team, although they may be different between each individual EOD team. Meaning team one may have PASGT and team 2 may have Protec.
- If helmets will be ‘painted’, paint scheme must match overall team color code (Ie. ODD = Coyote/EVEN=Olive drab)
- All helmets within the EOD team must ‘match’. Meaning if one helmet is painted, they are all painted.
- If helmet has a ‘cover’, same color and scheme must be used for all helmets. Meaning all helmets would be MARPAT or Traditional or plain, etc..

** In the event that an EOD team is KIA during the processing of explosives, that EOD team will cease to ‘exist’ for the remainder of the game and each member will no longer be required to wear the EOD helmet. Ex-EOD team members, once KIA will be folded back into their teams as regular infantry.

SAW gunner:
Squad Automatic Weapon

Additional uniform requirements:

- INERT bullet belt in .223 or .308 caliber.
- Must be true metal inert rounds linked together
- Must contain an actual ‘projectile’
- MUST BE INERT.. meaning must NOT be live rounds
- Must be at least 4 feet long or longer
- Must be able to ‘sling’ around your shoulder or body
- Must be worn AT ALL TIMES while possessing a SAW.**

** If you are carrying a SAW and playing the role as the squad heavy gunner, then you MUST wear the bullet belt at all times in which the SAW is in your possession. If you ‘switch’ out weapons you may remove the bullet belt. If you allow another player to ‘use’ your SAW, that player must then wear the bullet belt.

SNIPERS

Additional uniform requirements:

** STILL UNDER DISCUSSION – NOT FINALIZED**

All snipers will be required to either:
A. Wear a guile suit –or-
B. Paint their face and wear a ruck sack.

- Snipers are NOT allowed to wear ANY ‘hi-speed’ gear or tactical vests
- Snipers ‘may’ wear an H or Y harness attached to a belt with ALICE gear such as a canteen.
- You MAY NOT carry an AEG at any time, this includes as a ‘back up’. Including but not limited to ‘patriot’ M4’s.
- You are permitted to possess a handgun (GBB/GNBB) as a ‘back up’.
- Your sniper weapon MUST be ‘wrapped’ or otherwise ‘concealed’ from the trigger forward. Painting is NOT enough.

** more will be added at a later time.**

*************************************************************

* THERE IS NO 'MIXING' OF UNIFORMS OF 'ANY' TYPE *
Meaning.. you may not wear a 3-color desert trouser with a MARPAT blouse or you can NOT wear desert MARPAT and woodland MARPAT.

* HEAT ADVISORY *
The estimated temperature for CW2007 is expected to be pretty hot.  You are authorized to remove or replace your blouse with either a camouflage shirt of your team UC.. or a Coyote or OD plain shirt of your team UC.   NO BLACK, WHITE OR OTHER COLOR SHIRTS ACCEPTED!!

Non accepted uniforms:- Civilian clothes of ANY type. Ie. jeans, sweaters, shorts, etc..
- ACU's * Unless it is gear
- Multicam * Unless it is gear
- Plain Coyote or similar
- Plain Navy or similar
- DPM
- Tiger Stripes
- Flektarn
- Any other foreign military used camouflage
- Any other uniform that is not listed as "authorized" above.

Radio Communication:
Each team will be given 1 flat radio frequency and 1 JOC control freq.  Each team is allowed to use any 'sub' channels within the frequency.  Although we will not be monitoring channels, please do not 'channel surf' as this takes away from the 'realism' of having secure freq's.  In order to be able to utilize radio communications you will need an FRS radio capable of 'sub' channels.  For example this would be a radio that can be on channel 5 sub channel 23.  If your radio is not capable of a sub channel, you will need to purchase one.

Minor players... IE.. players under the age of 18 will require a signed parent waiver.. Click here to pre-print the waiver, have it signed by a parent and then bring it to the OP.

* ALL PLAYERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER IN ORDER TO PLAY *

Its a really decent field... I have been out to some of the St James Grenadiers games in the past couple of years...

Never played with 858 outside of a Lionclaws Series event but they are good guys....

I have walked that AO from end to end so I doubt its 6 square miles simply because I'm too fucking old to hump that kind of mileage anymore....  but its a big AO...

Nothing like Ft. Wolters where we have OP Night Scorpion though.... that was plus of 1000 acres....

I'll ask Eclipse since he knows more about it than anyone else....

Not callin you out or anything Jax, but I'm curious why you haven't been to ANY of the Lionclaws Series events?  You have been to several small Socal style events and most people with a little time in Airsoft in Socal eventually make Lionclaws...

just curious...   I noticed that on the 858 Boards hardly anyone was into the John Lu events.... is that a San Diego thing?

I'm told that San Diego is kind of like Tucson.

actually about 30 or so people went to the last one, and the one before.  its just really far away, and it costs a lot of money.  but more importantly, i can never get off from duty on the weekends, thats when the crazies are out ya know.

im not sure if Chris and the grenadiers are allowed ot MRPB anymore...i heard something about weird restrictions they are doing for their games.  i know the kids liek playing with them, but the adults dont due to the way he treats the players.

Well considering that Chris and the Grenadiers are some of the finest upstanding airsofters in the national community I would view that as a strike against MrPB.

Thier "wierd restrictions" as I recall are along the lines of no hicaps, strict uniform requirements, etc... Basically Lionclaws Series rules... More MilSim less spray and cheat.....but only at their scenario games....  I know the paintsofters get their pick up games every month too.

But you more than answered my question... thank you.

Well, im not sure about the upstanding part of the comment, but i've kind of distanced myself from him after a nasrty incident about a year ago.  either way, if i had the cash, or the time to go to a LC event i would.  better yet, i'd LOVE to create a new type of AS event similar to LC but there is no way i would have that kinda of capital to invent and run something like that.

I'm all for making games and so forth, as you may remember Doc and United Peacekeepers that i met you at, the sunday went way better, cause i toned down the way the games were run with bret, instead of Ralph running the show (or trying to)

either way, if there are any large things liek the LC series in the future and i can go, i'm so on top of that.

Hey... $10 a week in a piggy bank gets you to Lionclaws every year.... $20 gets you Irene and Lionclaws....

Yeah.... that whole "Peacekeeper" thing was ... well.. it was.   On Sunday I didn't care much anymore about the suposed "competition" and instead enjoyed just sneaking around low.... but the best part of that whole thing is my Socom... tagged some serious long shots with it at a few National Ops.....
