Hey people. I'm looking to upgrade my SRC M16. Does anyone know if it is TM compatible, what are kind of gears does it have stock, and if the stock gears can hold upgraded barrel and spring? Much thanks.

you could just google it for find a review of it some where. its really not that hard to search for the info. since src is a clone of a tm it is compatible with tm. it has regular gears? i dont know what you mean by them. acually i heard src gears arnt good at all. and what exactly do you want to upgrade?

I couldn't find too much on the M16, but I found a lot on the M4.
I want to get a tightbore-barrel and a better spring to make it shoot better. I just want to get it to have higher FPS. I'm shooting to make it shot 400FPS w/ .20s.

the only difference between them is a longer barrel. whats more important is what gen src do you have. if you are gonna get it up to 400 then you need to upgrade the gears. a tb barrel isnt that hard to do but you gonna have to use quallity bbs for it.

Oh, ok then. I think it's what ever the newest is? I got it in March of '07. I don't follow SRC too much, so yea. I have high quality BBS for it, so I think
I should be good.

then you should get a 130%(not sure if its 130 or 140) spring and some stronger gears. that should run like $50 and a tb should run you anywhere between $30 to $60 and you might wanna upgrade your battery if its a 8.6 to a 9.4 so you dont lose too much rof (if you dont already use a 9.4)

SRC mech casings are iffy at that sort of tension. Very hit or miss.
