The problem with 120- snipers is that they have low FPS. One of them(VSR) is TM compatible but the upgrades are quite expensive.  Not to mention sniping in airsoft is non-existent. Remember its a 6mm plastic BB, wind kills it.

thank you for saying it. i never understood the dedicated sniper thing

i would take an m4 or g36 and put a longer barrel and such to give me more distance but not loose rate of fire..
unless you in a game that is based on the sniper sneaking in, it just seems pointless to me to sit and wait and mabey get 1 or 2 shots before your position is compromised and your a sitting duck.
just my opinion  :-k

I think you shouldn't necropost.

However, to stay on topic, airsoft sniping works! I've seen people get much better groupings and much higher fps.
But I don't know how well sniper AEGs work... I know springers CAN work well but I would like to know how well gas snipers work.

do those UTG's hold up, ive heard the pistons snap on those things like crazy...

On mine the seers snapped. other than that the gun was descent for its price. Also you can by and upgrade kit or something like that.

Seems like a very worthwhile investment if you plan on having an M324

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=2690

only 32 bucks, so I would keep your m324 and pop in this upgrade kit and make it a decent gun.

Hey guys sorry to necro post, but I need some input. I am currently looking for a good sniper rifle [$250 max] and I came across this,http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GR-WELL-MB1-G22.htm. Its the WELL L96 AWP Gas Airsoft Sniper Rifle. Does anyone have any info on it, good or bad. Also  what would be a good sniper rifle, gas or spring in my price range?

Thanks

Sniping DOES work...one of the dudes who comes out to Rebel Union has a JG BAR10 and man I would NOT want to get hit by that thing, hearing those rounds zip past and THWACK! scares the shit out of me.

On the field, what scares me most was when back in Flagstaff, me and my friends would play in the woods.
In those woods, sounds went everywhere. Someone could be shooting right at you but it would sound like he was behind you.
It was like, getting shot at but having absolutely no idea where from.

Anyone ever see any left-handed bolt action airsoft rifles?
Or are lefties just destined to get semi-autos?

I have seen left handed bolts for the aps but they have since been discontinued. Either learn to shoot right handed or go semi auto.

Ok well here is my upgrading question. I recently ordered a Well L96 mb01 and I need to get a 150 spring and a good tightbore for it, but I am having trouble finding the right spring and tightbore [as I am barley getting back into sniping with a spring] the stock barrel length is 460mm I belive. Anyway thanks to whoever helps me out, I greatly appreciate it.

UTG spring snipers are definitely the best for that price. ive had 4 spring snipers myself and my friend went crazy and got the spring dragnov. i can easily say the UTG MK96(L96) is much better than the dragnov. I now currently own the utg m324 (master sniper) its very good for 100. range is excellent (180+ ft) if you use .28's - .3's the wind doesnt affect it much.

go with utg.

I was torn between a JG Bar 10 and a UTG M96. Ended up going with the UTG for various personal reasons, price/features/ergonimics. My adivice to you is hit up airsoftgi.com look in your price range, and decide on the features you want, and read the reviews on the site, then do some googling. go with what you like, not what someone else likes.
my 2 cents
