Making a G3-SBS
« on: August 28, 2007, 10:11:36 PM »
I'm gonna be putting together a G3-SBS. But when it comes to any specialty customization, im in the dust. This is the look im going for:

I'm going to order a Classic Army SAR M41FS from AEX when I get paid and after the next paycheck I am going to pick up a CA MP5SD front end from AEX as well. My main question is if anyone knows how difficult or simple it will be to put the SD front end onto the CA M41FS.

This is what I'll be buying Friday.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

The front end should mate right up to the G3 receiver. The buttstock is similar but not exactly the same. G3's use two rear pins, MP5's use one.

krash on these boards or the TAC boards may have some ideas, i'll point him this way, he build exactly one of those from scratch parts, he may have some pointers if he is not too busy.

I did one of these, and a G3k para, ( g33 front end, folding stock)  love those hk guns and the g3 is the best overall compromise between all the HK carbine/ rifle out there

Ok, due to a shortage in fundage, I will not be able to purchase the CA M41FS. So I decided im gonna make the SBS outta my SG1. I have a CA MP5SD front end (or atleast it might be a CA, possible ICS) thats in a really torn up condition, but it will hafta do till i get a new one. My question is how do I get the SD front end to the SG1. Here is a pic:

As you can see the SD is pretty messed up. But I wanna get this done now till I can afford a good front end. Any suggestions or advise would be helpful.
