It uses a completely different body/receiver (the airsoft version), so I don't know that it can be done up exactly like an SD6 model.

If the K version uses a version 2 gear box, then you could buy a new MP5 body as well as the SD front end and butt stock.

Yes, it uses a v2 gearbox.  But with the prices of Marui MP5's so cheap, it would probably be less expensive (and less time consuming) to just fork over the $190-200 to buy a new SD6 rather than buy an upper receiver, lower receiver, buttstock, front end set (including cocking tube)...

Why don't you sell it and buy an SD?

I don't think that is what he was referring to, sounded more like he was allowed to spend the money.  Either way he's going to have to dump a couple hundred bucks into converting or buying a new one.  I have an CA MP5SD3 for sale if you're reading this.

Where'd you hear/see this?  As far as I know, it's not illegal there (only NYC and New Jersey) for airsoft.

I asked someone on Ebay who stated that they would not ship to places like NYC and Chicago.....
If I am wrong?.......Then I fell to understand the meaning of what I read?

I just haven't seen it posted anywhere, and I wouldn't go on what some eBayer told you either.  Easiest way to see places that are not airsoft *legal* is to check where reputable places like AirsoftExtreme won't ship to.  As of now, Chicago is not on that list.  No problem - I was just asking.

« Reply #11 on: June 10, 2003, 01:21:49 PM »
Hello, I havent posted here in a while, sorry about that. Well, i have a troubling question, i know on my profile, it says i have an mp5sd6, we'll not anymore. Infact, i have gotten tons of new guns. But, i own an mp5k, i wanna be able to convert this thing into my old gun, haha. The "K" version sucks if anyone wants to know. But for a movie im making, i need an mp5sd6, and im not aloud to bu anymore guns, so I thought up a plan to buy peices of the mp5sd6 of WGC (in the 'parts' section). Can some one please tell me what ill need to make my mp5k an mp5sd6?

Thankx, ill post the trailer when it comes out, and if you like it, ill email you the moive [}:)]
