Thanks for a great game (OP Balkan Hammer content within...)
« on: October 28, 2007, 05:09:28 PM »
Hey all,

Just got back from OP Balkan Hammer, and had a good time...could use some improvements, but it was a first time op, and went pretty smoothly.  I was teamed up with the CT guys, so thanks for taking it easy on the Arizona first timer...here are my only pics I had taken - end of game, showing off the CT ride (4Runner Technical)

ps: Thanks to Skyler...Schuyler...for the Icom swap - made the game a good bit easier.

and...one crappy shot of the CT ride speeding down I-17 through the mountains...

ps: Nice meeting the Saguaro guys also - you guys are some tough hombres.

Mod's feel free to move this if another thread pops up for AAR stuff.

You know it's a good OP when that comes out of your nose and you chalk it up in the name of fun.

Great OP, best birthday I ever had.

Turner, good rolling with you. Hopefully work lets you swing our way a couple times. Stay safe.

Yeah, this is Turner...or Casper...Ghost...Powder...whatever you guys called me.  I'm the sun-spot on the right in the 3rd and 4th photos, lol.

I recognize some screen-names on here, and the rest I'm sure I played with.  Since I'm not 100% on the AZ sites, please keep me posted when people start loading up their galleries. I'd like to grab some photos - I know they took a ton.

Cheers

Was a very fun time, and great location. It was nice to meet a lot of people. Where else can you get chased by a WWII German Half track in the woods.

Thanks to every one for putting it on, I thought it ran pretty smoothly considering it was there first big OP they put on.

This was by far the best event i have attended yet.  The vehicles, hospitality, gameplay.... everything about it was just great.  Thanks to everyone running the event and hosting it.  Special thanks to the hospitality from the staff.  I would definitely attend another event like this.  Always a pleasure to meet new people as well.

Had a great time at this OP, It was fun being QRF with Kilo getting us into all the action. Good job CT, Saguaros/Myrmidons, Hawks, Regiment, Elbows, and all the guys we traded plastic with.
Special thanks to Kilo, Doc Hollywood and Mercy for coordinating some memorable fire fights and assaults on the field, and thanks to all the MAC-V staff and support for putting on this great OP.
