As an addendum to my initial post, I found a maggot crawling on my Crye combat pants when I went to put them on for the first time in 8+ months on Saturday.

A badge of honor, there.

This is why I never ask to ride with you anywhere anymore.

It's for the best, I was tired of being late. All the time.

Better late than puking all morning from a nasty bacteria that crawled up your butt from those infectious pants you wore.

Does multicam blend in well with puke?

I wash my Propper ACU's all the time. No fading that I can see. Just wash them in cold water with ALL detergent.  I as well dry them in the dryer. Don't be a maggot carrier, wash em if you got em.

KBR boils our shit, then dries it on HI HEAT with fabric softener sheets.  Everything shrinks and fades like a motherfucker!

A good solution for those of us that like to wear clean clothing is to do what CPL said and wash it inside out with either dreft or woolite.

An extra step that I use is to rinse in liquid fabric softener, throw it in the drier for 5 minutes then line dry.

The softener keeps the fibers soft, and I've found it helps military garments last longer.  I've never noticed my clothes glowing any more than anyone elses under NODs.

yeah KBR can destroy anything if you give them the chance. Damn Steve's.

I use downey everytime too. I hate crunchy new ACU's its like the old days with starched cammies! love the nice broke in ACU's though, of course by the time they are the perfect brake in, they've f'ing shrunk. Good thing I don't pay for 'em.
