Attention airsofters with AOs in the Tucson area!!!

Hello. I am FYREGOD 2nd in command of the Aries Raiders. I've been to a couple of your events in Prescott a few years ago as Stomper (in the Mossy Oak net camo). I have some news you might be interested in, if you airsoft in the Tucson area...

At 11:30 Sunday the we were at SASCO airsofting when Pima County Sheriff showed up and informed us that SASCO is on State Trust land. This means that there is a $500 fine for paintballing and airsofting at SASCO. Neither the 15 paintballers nor us were fined this time, but license plates were recorded so that they know we've been informed.
I don't know why they haven't posted signs and fenced in the borders of the state trust land as required by law, but be aware that it is and you WILL be fined $500 for firing either paintballs or airsoft BBs at SASCO.
I'm posting this on all forums that I have memberships for.

TAC leadership along with some of the AMSOG team members are working on this issue know.  We hope to track down the right person to issue permission and get permission in writing for events our groups host there.  I'll be sure to post back the end result.

As of 07 tax year the land was still ownend by a private group of 4-5 land developers.

That block of land has not been subdivided and is more the 1/4 mile from the border of the Trust land border.


I am also attempting to contact the land owners but that could stir the bees nest. Unless the owners have asked to have us removed, and or if they post signs and fences......then it is still open spaces.


Anyone that would like specific parcel number so you make your own check pm me, I have it all on paper so far. I will get copies of the maps, the tax id paper work, the copy of the deed...........this way the next time we get asked to leave for THAT reason, we have ammo to respond with. Not trying to start ##### but I hate hearing the COPS trying to bully us for no real reason

also of note: THAT IS PINAL COUNTY : IF ANY ONE FROM "PIMA" GOES OUT THERE THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR PATROL AREA

"I" have made a call to the closest substaion to the RED ROCK area to verify why they might be trying to enforce STATE TRUST LAND BS, they have yet to respond with any answers at all after waiting a week, I will make another attempt

It sounds more like someone called and complained about it.  Rebel Union held an airsoft tournament here not to long ago in the river bed that comes from Lake Pleasant.  Thats Arizona Trust land and we had the police show up to that.  They just asked that we keep away from the homes and make sure everyone was being safe.  One of the police that was there was one of my friends shooting partners coincidentally.

The area is close to the Apache Forest NM.  The ruins to the east ie. the Hotel are on the monument and we should not play there.  The standard area around the foundations and foundry is not on the monument and is in Pinal county.  If we want to get it right we should go through the AZ land dept. There are detailed maps of the area available through them and we should set specific boundaries avoiding areas on the monument itself.  If it is privately owned then unless the property owner posts no trespassing we're ok.  We should however get permission from the property owner and maybe offer to clean it up a bit so that the local LE has no cause to get on to us.  By cleaning up I mean getting the gross assed paint off, or trying to at least. That may make the property owners more likely to allow us access.  The paint ballers are on their own as far as I'm concerned.
