Lights out at 10:30pm. Some people will be driving all day and will want some rack time. My next comment is general and not directed at anyone in particular. Lights out also means no noise. I am asking everyone to be respectful of the people that may have driven/ worked all day and need to get some sleep before the full days battle on Saturday. I'm trying to get the club open for those of you that wish to abuse yourselves before the event. There has been problems with doing this as the club is run by a civilian contractor.

Not sure on the limit to sponsors, I suspect its 1:1 but it may be 1:m, regardless the minimum age is 16+ even with a sponsor as of last week.  This does not effect anyone who has already gotten clearance and registered but it halts anyone under 16 from registering going forward.

We just returned from Camp Navajo where it had snowed heavily. This was a WWII event where reenactors were marching through the snow up to their waists, vehicles were getting stuck, there was only one road out to the battle area in which only tracked vehicles were able to make followed by 6X6 vehicles after the tracked vehicles cut through the snow.

We are going to watch conditions ( and the weather ) very closely and make a decision in the next two weeks if we should move the Red Dagger event dates back into April. The last thing I want is a bad event in which everyone is stuck in the snow or mud. As of now, NOTHING has changed but I want to keep everyone aware of how serious the conditions are up there.

Minor Voice in the face of many:

I would not mind the date being pushed back.  Weather in March is typically nasty and I would rather have a nicer month to play in, that is less busy to drive in due to the lack of mass vacation time for schools of all ages, as well as the Easter break time at the end of the month (+10 to massive amounts of travel/visiting/accidents on crappy highways).

What about them?

About the delay, I wouldn't mind one.  It sucks to hike through snow.

The snow up at Camp Navajo basically destroyed the WWII event that we had their last weekend. Camp Navajo Staff informed me that they have shut down use of their facility due to whether concerns and would not open it up until mid-April. March has statistically been the month in which Camp Navajo receives the most snow so more storms are expected, further hampering operations there. We want to put on a good event and the whether up there ( along with the military ) has forced us to pick a later date.

We are looking at late April and wanted to get a feel if passover weekend would be a problem ( April 19th-20th ) or if having it the week after ( April 26th-27th ) would work out better for everyone.

Again, the snow up there was impossible. people were up to their waists, vehicles were getting stuck and I do not want to put any of you through that. Then there's the little problem of the National Guard closing Operations down due to the snow anyway.
