I remember those fellows conducting themselves well on the field and I was happy to have them on my team. I liked the wacky little gun he was using.

Airsoft isn't a fashion show.

A lot of people started off not too differently, myself included.

I don't see any reason to buy a full set up if you're just testing the waters.  Not everyone likes airsoft, and I sure would have been pissed if I spent a bunch of money on BDUs, boots, chest rig, not to mention gun just to find out that I didn't like it.

If he really likes it, and wants to get more serious, then he will probably start buying more legit gear.

Gotta start somewhere, I agree with ghostsequel and sean.

Cool gear comes when you know why cool gear is cool, and it isn't about the looks.

We may have to get the coyote tactical "gear outreach" program back in swing...

Yes, we all started there somewhere somehow.  But, regardless, it is mandatory to make fun of new guys/gals because its part of the initiation into the sport.  If you can't take the heat for being new, then you aren't fun enough to play with me.  I don't think anyone here is telling him to GTFO and WTF NOOB, WHERES YOUR CIRAS WITH 20 POUCHES???!!!!, we are just having a little fun with a new guy.

Now where did I put that shaving cream and hot water...

That was exactly the point...

For those of you who were not at the four peaks game. This was intended as a joke.

My first game I wore a Green Hoodie, and black jeans and a piantball mask that was half cut away so I could shoulder my weapon.

This is what you call "DON'T BE THAT GUY."

Echo AEG $150
Eye pro $20
BDU top $19
Being that guy PRICELESS

You really should try to be at least somewhat fair to "that guy" seeing as he isn't on here to defend himself...

It's an ICS M4 that he has not an Echo 1...the guy is new to the sport and is on his way to racking up $100K in college debt... He always conducts himself well at games is sportsmanlike (which is more than I can say for some people I have played with in the past). If he feels that his kit is sufficient, then more power to him.

I personally would not play looking like that, however... making fun of someone who is making due with what he has is a good way to turn a lot of people off who are fun to play with.

The guys that were wearing BDU tops and jeans were with our group from Prescott, we just got them converted to airsoft and they enjoy it enough to have already bought their first guns and seem to love the sport.  Great bunch of folks to have as additions to the sport.
