MEPS on Friday

I finally figured that it was for me. After a long time of having buddies join, debating it, reading up on it, talking with actively serving servicemen/women, I decided it was for me. Just figured I'd put it up here. 4 years Active Duty Army.  :D

Any advice? Suggestions?

What sucks is I coulda given you Active First and 40K bonus! damn I wish more kids would call me first!

ACTIVE FIRST:
 
- Choose 30, 36, 48, Months of active duty then return to your National Guard unit.

-Up to 40K in enlistment BONUS's

-Active Duty GI Bill with kicker + National Guard GI Bill with kicker + $11,000 a year tuition reimbursement + and $20,000 student loan repayment. oh and the tuition reimbursement and loan repayment thats only in the Guard.

-Pick your your MOS not just a desinator (I.E. 11x, 13x, 92x) have a real MOS prior to shipping.

-Begin drilling now begin getting PAID now.

I got a specific job not just the general field. I have it in the contract that I'm also attending Jump School so I can put in for SOCM. :)

I appreciate that. After my bonuses and college money I came out to A little over $55,000.

Jan 25th, 2008 I ship for basic, I goto Sam Houston on April 7th, 2008. Will be there for 16 weeks.

Maybe you can swing by and I'll introduce my plethora of hot medic chicks to you. Oh, wait, you're not single...thats a killer.

Visited Ft. Sam in JAN to see a best friend who has already completed everything you've enlisted for.

It sucked soooo bad.  Hopefully they made some improvements to AIT barracks conditions.

Well, it is official. I got sworn in at 2pm yesterday. Shipping on the 15th of Jan. 9 week 6 day basic, 20 weeks minimum of AIT, then I get a duty station.
