Put me down for ACU/CIA. Sorry about the late RSVP, just confirmed that I can go... Hope it isn't too late to get in game...

Nope, never too late to RSVP, heck we even take walk ons!  The purpose of the early RSVP was to get a head count to show our sponsors what kind of prize support is needed as well as secure organizers/refs adequate to meet the need of the game size.  I'll get you added to the roster on the next pass.

All right folks, AEX has evaluated the current roster and shipped prize support, I'll let folks know what to expect out of the raffle once its in, eb sure to thank the AEX staff for their awesome support of Arizona events next time you order from them or see them.

The roster is now current with the latest data I have.  At this time I will stop updating the roster, if you have not RSVP'd fear not, your still welcome to post your intention to come or even just walk on the day of, just keep in mind you will not be placed on a team by friend grouping.  Your placement is 100% dependent on your camo pattern, so if you want to stay with your buddies wear the same camo pattern.

One last quick review of some of the rules:

*Id is required, if you dont show up with one we will assume your under 18

*under 18 needs a waiver and paintball mask to play

*Bio BB's are required and will be checked when you chrono in, some may be available for purchase on site from s3 but availability and quantity cannot be guaranteed unless you preorder with S3.  Both AEX and S3 can get you Bio BB's in time for this event if you order this week.

*Standard AA and TAC FPS rules apply: 400 fps or less for AEG, 500 or less for sniper with 50 foot MED and all weapons will be chronoed and zip tied.

*A test fire area will be available near the staging zone for adjusting hop and test firing weapons, DO NOT discharge your weapon anywhere in the staging zone except this designated area.

If you cannot comply with the above you will be asked to leave, if your caught cheating by one of the refs (we will have 3 or 4 non playing refs roaming the field) you will also be asked to leave.

Odds and ends you should think about or work on between now and then.

Squad based tactics: players will be divided into squads before the game, coherency is expected, if you have a group of friends we'll try to keep you all togther in the squad.  A squad leader will be elected and all squad members will have access to the command net radio freq for FRAGOs.

Radio Use: Players on the command net radio freq will be expected to maintain radio discipline (ie you state your callsign and the callsign your trying to reach on each transmission) if you cannot maintain discipline or do not understand this directive you may want to consider using squad based radio freqs and only have your squad leader on the command net.  Additionally, no surfing for enemy teams freq, please stay on your own.

No Breaks! Make sure to load-out your water, power, and ammo supply for the entire duration of play, you will not return to the staging area untill the event is concluded (this is not your average pickup game with 15-30 minute breaks spattered through-out).  You can bring additional gear and leave it at your FOBs but be aware play will happen in those areas and if your using medics as prescribed and maintaining squad coherencey your returns to the FOB may be few and far between.

We truly hope that this is a fun game for all and a good milestone for this years airsoft season.  If you have any questions please feel free to post them and see you on the 23rd!

Just a few questions:

Do guns count as a hit? as in my gas tube got shot am i out?

Also do shatter proof prescription glasses count as ear wear?(I will be wearing ESS goggles but for the rest of us)

The neutral area, is where we stage all our equipment? Or is that at your individual spawn points?

Also is the car staging area near the actual play or close?

Great questions, I added a line item to the above post to help remind folks this is solid play with no breaks.

Gun Hits: I'll leave this one up to cipherblue to answer the day of, usually we allow a gun hit to count as a weapon disable instead of a kill, but the call will be up to him.

Prescription Glasses: Yes they can count as approved eye wear for those over 18 y/o providing they are wrap around or have guards on the sides and are stamped as ANSI Z87.1 rated or better.  If they are simple polycarb glasses in the standard arrangement they will not suffice, goggles or a paintball mask will have to be worn over them.

Neutral Area: Is where the parking lot and rally point are, gear can be left there but you will not have a chance to return their once play actually begins so if you need to carry more out onto the field then fits in your personal kit it should be taken to the FOBs but carrying what you need for the day is STRONGLY recommended since their will be no breaks.

CipherBlue will be our primary organizer for Prelude so you'll be in good hands if your camping with him.

I agree with his info above, the only other things I ask pertain to our relationship with the forest service:

1. Do not deface the land in anyway, this means pack out what you pack in and only use the designated fire pits near the staging area and across the main dirt road.

2. DO NOT discharge or brandish your airsoft guns the night before.  We dont want to be punted from the site because folks camping wanted to plink some cans or signs without the waiver on the premises the night before.

Other then that anyone and all are welcome to camp the night before with CipherBlue.  I'll be on site early Saturday morning.
