My AK-47 Project gun And Adventure
« on: January 16, 2008, 07:15:36 PM »
So i have been  thinking for some time now and i have decided to get:

Tokyo Marui AK-47

With this wood kit:
http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/pr ... cts_id=507

This Metal Body:
http://cgi.ebay.com/G-P-AK-Full-Metal-B ... dZViewItem

And Upgrade the Internals to Around 350-370 fps with .25's

Is there anything there that seems to be not of the highest quality?

I want this gun to be my main skirmish weapon, i also want it to be a display gun with nice wooden furniture. Im really not looking for rate of fire, but more long distance shooting and accuracy. So a 7-12 balls per second is fine. I just want to reach out and touch the target.

Comments And Criticism are Welcome

TM makes great guns, however with the recent surge of Chineese guns you would be better served by getting a boyi AK from gearbox. It is cheaper than the base TM and already has wood and metal. Most shoot decent fps to begin with, all you need to do is throw in a tight bore barrel and save the rest of your money for mags and optics.

thanks ganef :)

i am more looking towards a regular stock ak, and i really want this gun to last and be excellent looking also

and i am willing to spend 500-600 and i already have mags and gear, and i also think the only optics that should go on the AK is for the draganuv model

I am very sorry for having to post off of this thread but the rule in which i have to make more post in order to start my own thread prevents me from doing so
and this is the only recent thread i can find that is similer to my topic

My question for all is:
Hey,

I have a TM ak beita spetz and I want to turn it into a normal AK with a wood kit ...

Is that Possible? and if so what would i have to buy ?

thanks

also,
Is the foregrip for the AK-47s the same size as the beita spetz?

Thank you and once again I apologize

We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we\'ve been running the show ever since.

if your willing to spend that much you should just go for the RPK, i'm in love with those. And from what i've seen there are not too many of em! its like 400$ for the kit tho.  If not i also agree with madcat with the whole launcher thing.  Otherwise.....yea if your going to strip everything from it you might as well as go with a cheaper AK, such as the Echo 1 or something.  Why spend the money on a TM when your going to replace everything anyway.

As for Theyeti, yes you can change them i believe they should be the same version gearbox. all you need to do would be to buy a wood kit, and a longer  inner barrel. Also i think some websites, such as wgcshop have some front end assemblies that you will also need.  so it will cost you some bank.

I have gone through several AK's. A mauri is a good starter no doubt. But the CA's are not bad especialy for the cost with them already being of metal and wood. Now if your looking for a kick ass looking rifle and have deep pockets the guarder/Inokatsu or Russian mania workshop for kits for the marui. http://www.russianmaniaworkshop.com/shop.asp
