We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we\'ve been running the show ever since.

Ooorah Devil, i'm a PFC (soon to be LCPL) here in Phoenix.  I'm a 1391 Bulk Fuel Specialist.  I'm stationed down on 35th Ave.

35th Avenue != Yuma

Sorry dude.

Yuma is a lonely, shitty little place.

show you around Yuma? i would but thats kinda far for me.  I know some good Marines down there, like Fox, or Aguayo, they're 1391's but yea i'm in Phoenix.  I'm going down to Yuma on the 29-2 for Rifle Qual, with my unit. If you would like me to show you around Phoenix i could do that. Or if you come out to a game your always welcome to chill with us during down time.  O and i'm told i'm picking up Lance that weekend i head down to Yuma.

What unit down at the airstation are you with?? I was with 371 waaaaaaayy back in the day.

I also did that bulk fuler thing over there at 35th, before I came over here to the Guard.

Anyway from what I've seen Airsoft is a good mix but could lead to bad habits if used as a training tool imporperly. On the flip side alot of straight outa the boof 0311, 11B stuff don't work at all in airsoft.

If you do it just to have fun, then its just that kick ass fun...

11B here.

Infantry shit works just fine. If you can teach it to a dedicated group you play with, it can be well executed. Obviously, it will be modified just like all infantry battle drills do(unit SOP typically), but for airsoft.

I thought that stuff didn't work in airsoft?

Quick question: what are your qualifications for teaching something like this? Got a 7-8 handy? Hold an Infantry MOS? I'm just curious, I don't know a whole lot about you.

Just because you asked and I don't mind sharing...

I was with 4th ID at Fort Carson in 90.  Went to Iraq in 91 with 3rd AD as a M1A2 driver.  Finished back in Carson as a Cpl --Tank Gunner.  ETSed in 93.  Originally I did it for the college money, but wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

I got involved in airsoft a few months ago and wish I would have known about it sooner.  The games at 4 peaks, north of Mesa are great.  I have met so many cool people in the sport.  It takes a while to gain the the knowledge to talk about the gear intelligently, but the guys I have talked to respect the fact that I'm new at it --they help and encourage newbies to join in and give good advice.

Good luck and thank you for your service.

Respectfully,

Giles

Hope to see you at a game sometime.
