I personally really enjoyed the movie. I was afriad to go see it after reading the reviews! Im planning on taking a girl to see it again Friday. If you want to join us, feel free! lol. I dont really feel that a SWAT team would just consist of 5 guys, and they would give the other teams the calls taht come after the first one. But all in all, great movie! Go see it!

I liked it.  I went in thinking there would be a tremendous amount of glaring errors, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The opening sequence confuses me.  Its like the North Hollywood shootout, yet not quite...

I agree it was a great movie but some of the flaws were very noticable.  Like how the hell u gunna land a leer jet on a 8 lane bridge. I mean come on ! but of coarse that is what makes movies great.  Id definetly see it again but im just gunna wait until it comes out on dvd.[:P]

 You're right about that. The LAPD SWAT team consists of 65 members if I remember correctly. If something that big went down, they would deploy more units than one.

They did deploy more than one unit, at several points in the film.  We just don't see much of them because it would take screen time away from the expensive actors.  You do see glimpses of other teams and there are statements made that other teams are "en route", etc.

I liked Gigli better...... [;)] I was going to see swat, but it looked kind of fake,
 and you can tell that the swat team is going to get there objective.

PS: Do NOT see Gigli!

Kyle...and the even prettier Bolle goggles:)  Kimber custom 1911s are used by LAPD SWAT these days, and I was also pleasantly surprised to see accurate weapons campared with the limited knowledge I have of SWAT gear.  Note the huge floodlight-looking surefires.  A bit much for my taste, but accurate as far as I can tell.  As Mike stated at the Prescott game (and I noticed as well), they did not "stack-up" once!  That is a basic tactic employed bt entry teams worldwide, and I was looking forward to seeing it.  It was entertaining to say the least.  Recommended.

I loved this movie.. made me want to continue my police training .... did a small stint with avondale police department a while back.   I love the idea of going SWAT.

Notice on the first time they run drills while doing bets, McCabe's Kimber jams on him, yet he continues to fire. [:p] I found that VERY entertaining.

Also, the Cheif says the BG's used AK's when they stored the buss to break out "Alex." They used a Beretta and a Tec-9. Typical of Kalifornia, and I still haven't decided whether that was really put there on purpose by Hollywood or not. [:)] This gave the SWAT guy I know a REAL good laugh.

There were a few other mistakes only a true gun nut would noticed ("Hi, my name is Nick, and I'm a gun crank."), but overall it was a good movie. Even the SWAT guy at my church gave it a thumbs up ("It was very good, it being done by Hollywood and all.")

I didnt notice his gun jam. But what was with the roll? It looked stupid cuase it was in the open. I could see it if your rolling to cover, but not just out of the blue.

If it was during a drill, it was probably just to practice rolling, and they didn't want to set up cover [:P]
