I've just received a threat through PM, what action should I take on this?

If it's really a big deal, forward it to a moderator.

Or a lawyer if it's that bad.

It's the ravings of somebody looking for attention.

Crazy bullshit rather than a serious threat.

I would not worry about it.

Rule it out.

It will be a waste of your time.

It's obvious this dude is just talking a bunch of shit.

Had he said like,

<first name last name>, I'm going to come to your house, and cut your face off so I can wear it like a mask while I do my little kooky dance.

Well, that'd be worth following up on. However, I saw this PM, and he's just some wacko.

Fuck it.

did somebody ask for a lawyer .... ??????

lol

seriously though, threats over the internet don't typically rise to the level of tort, but most likely could be prosecuted as a crime.

There are some special rules for dealing with threats over internet, telephone, etc.

Best solution though, is a CCW and 2 spare mags.

Haven't taken the CCW course yet...but I do have ammo to spare.  Though I'm seriously thinking of taking a CCW course, especially if the new bill passes that will allow CCW holders to carry on college campuses.

It's one Sat of time and it's a cake walk.  I would recommend it.

+1  I took mine at Diamondback here in Tucson.  Personally I think it could have been a little more comprehensive but that's just me.

No freaken way. I don't want the wannabe/fake LEO people with firearms on campus. They are the WORST people in the world to be CCW and most would be. Most of them think they can run 100yds and get 3 consecutive HS from 50ft in the dead of night(not kidding they really believe this). Most failed the Pysch test which is why they are trying to get the degree(women tend to fail the physical portion). And then piss and moan about the testing. I wouldn't trust them with a neon pink water gun.

I would just ignore threats from online. Back when I sold all my clones I had minors acting like lawyers on the law. I've never seen anyone get violent or argue on the field. And thats all that really matters.

Well I did once but that guy was nuts and out numbered. Haven't seen him since.
