5/24game postponed
« on: May 03, 2008, 01:26:10 PM »
Hey sorry everyone. Wild planet paintball has failed to respond to our repeated attemepts at reserving the fields for airsofters. Once I get thier full cooperation I will rescedule the game.

If anyone is still up for a casual game my friends and I are planning a evening/night game in Arizona city on saturday the 31st. PM me if you are interested. The field would consist of mostly desert and hilly terrain. For more info on the field and the times PM me or The CzM.

Sounds fun, but how often will we be required to use a CQB gun? I mean, I have a cheap springer that would do in a pinch, but I don't really want to buy another AEG to meet the CQB requirement...

The CQB gun would only be required during certiant matches. for the most part you would be able to use your assault AEG.

im a friend of rogue fox, we were just out there today paintballing with a big group, and some of the fields would be good for airsoft. The rocket field has lights for night games, and i believe the alamo has lights too. I talked to the owner and he said five dollars for field entry, and also he has been trying to get airsofters out there. All he needs is to know when. I will also be talking to him about it again and will keep everyone updated on it. If we can get a good group it should be a good event.

Now idk how much a CQB will be needed, im sure depending on everyone preferance of playing field and such, but i wouldnt worry to much about needing a CQB, for more than a match or two. We like to change it up and stuff we most likely wont play the same game style the whole time, a few deathmatch and so on ya know.

basically what everyone is concerned about is, that the usual FPS requirement for cqb/assault weapon is usually 400fps. So we would not all have cqb weapons, some may some may not.

I think that is the concern. The other concern is that since its a paintball field we dont want to run around and get all our gear dirty with paint.

That is a good point about the area. I was out there today paintballing, and did come home with some grime from the various cover, but it was not as bad as one might think. Which i do not do much sitting, resting my marker on the various cover, but there is a good chance of getting some paint grime on the equipment. It also depends on which field u are on, some places are bad for paint residue. I have found though that it is not to hard to clean off. i believe that the alamo playing field would be the one least likely to create problems with rub off. This is a concern though, one that i will pay more attention to and can better report on, when i go out there next weekend.

i would be interested in going with a friend, but we dont have "extra" rifles. we each have 1 rifle, and i have an m203 and sidearm.
more info about this would help, as it determines if i would be able to attand. also, are there any indoor areas? the field looks mainly outside, with speedball-ish obstacles

We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we\'ve been running the show ever since.

Bumb, CQB guns under 300 are not required, but suggested.

And as for the paint and grime, the only time you have to worry about that is usually on the side of the bunker that gets shot. So as long as you arent rubbing your gun all over the boards you should be fine.

If you guys have any ideas concerning game types and such feel free to add me, or the czm to you're msn messenger, or PM us.

As for the dates as The CzM stated we need a decent amount of people before we can actually commit a date to a game. But be sure to keep in contact with us and keep the ideas coming.

Also, if the first time goes well, this will proboly turn into a routine where games would be hosted often.

In response to madcatjoe's comment.

One rifle is enough, this is a casual game, the requirements I listed above dealing with the guns are more of suggestions (except for the 410 fps part)  and as for the field, it is all outdoors but in the safe zone, there are shaded areas and tables, the front desk will also order dominos for you, a large one topping is all you can get, costs $9.

but the field itself is completly outdoors but well built. For any more info I would suggest watching the walkthroughs on thier website, especially the alamo one.
