Hate to sound like an Echo, but....

I can live with the avatars on the right.... but the other stuff was fairly important (as anything on the Internet can be....) for smooth functionality.

Sorry for the late "chime-in" but I usually read the board at work - and Air Combat Command, in their infinite non-wisdom, decided to block all sports/recreation forums at the proxy level.... Something about non-essential traffic.... <sigh>

That all sounds good to me.

I concur.

Paco is working on getting other themes that would put a more familiar face for the forums.
There is no calendar mod yet for phpBB3.  He said when one becomes available he will install it.

Another thing that I dislike about the new forums is that a given page will not expand to allow for a large image.  If you look in any of the photo threads, you should be able to see what I'm talking about.

Yea, for real.  I was like "Wow, that's a horribly centered photo..." then I realized they were all like that.

I remember a few versions back, we could set the browser to "reload" every few minutes, that way, when on line, we could see any new posts that came up without having to manually refresh our browsers.  That would be nice....

All being said, I know we ALL appreciate this forum and find it an invaluable resource.

Thanks to all the admins and mods for their hard work.

The user info has been recoded to be on the left.

Calendar:  Unless someone knows of a non-alpha phpBB3 calendar, it'll have to wait until one is released.

I removed some features due to CPU usage - the "auto refresh" was one of those.

Custom titles was one of those "meh" features.  I think signatures are sufficient to personalize your account enough.

Pictures: the other option is to have the screen scroll if someone decides to post their 2000x4000 pictures.  I got a LOT of complaints about that since you'd have to scroll to read text.  If posting pics, have the decency to crop them and link to full res pictures (if you want), or use the upload feature to let the site create thumbnails.

I am working on adding more profile fields; namely AEG's owned...  any other profile fields?  I won't put a ton in; maybe one or two more.

I think that the modifications to the layout are great. Thanks.

I think that instead of extra profile fields, titles should be brought back. Nobody uses profiles anyway.

Thanks again for fixing the layout.

Jason, I really appreciate the updates!

One more thing, can you get rid of the Rank, or change it to a non-military rank system?

Also, will Moderators or Administrators have the ability to give custom titles to users?  It was alike that back in the day, and it was cool.

Other than that, everything is fine.  Thanks for entertaining our requests.

I like the "online" ribbon next to people's names.  Glad to have titles on the left again.  Thanks!

This forum isn't phpBB2; it's phpBB3.  phpBB2 mods do not work on phpBB3 as the internal coding is very different.
