L85 scope related question
« on: June 17, 2008, 10:43:44 AM »
Does anyone think taking an M16 carry handle and putting it on an L85, then adding a scope mount and a red dot would look fine or just be ridiculous?  I think I have the option of putting the scope where the normal carry handle mounts, but then I have to remove the front sight and am not sure if that would look good either.

The first practical style related question I've ever asked.   :D

Optics mounted on carry handles look dumb. If you have the rails mount it there and co-witness with your front sight.

I figured.  Probably make it a bit unwieldy too.  Thanks for the advice!

check your rail widths before you order your optics, the star l85 uses the stupid british rail vs. god fearing and proper

For some reason or another, I don't even need a carry handle because the optics I already have fit on the rail.  Thanks for the help, though.
