Honestly, I like scopes with lots of magnification (but they MUST be adjustable down to at most X5 if not lower) so that you can use 'em as binoculars without the hassle.

You should NEVER use your scope as "binoculars"
Think about it. You are pointing a weapon at something you do not intend to shoot.
If you are in a hunting environment and doing it to look at a person, and the person you are looking at sees you pointing a weapon at them as if you are going to shoot, don't expect them to be very happy about it.
If I was hunting with you and caught you doing this, I would take your gun away and let you walk around with a dumb look on your face.
If you want to look at something with magnification, buy binos.

We're talking about airsoft.

This is a very valid tactic.

Well, it's airsoft.
We're MEANT to shoot others.
However, if it was actually hunting I would bust a nut.
But I know marine snipers who did it all the time.
And a DMR in the Army with a similar tactic.

Oh lord, back when I paintballed, I would wear nothing but a t-shirt and black khakis, and occasionally a hoody during the winter time.
However, all the "Pros" bought jerseys with thick padding. Paintballing does hurt more than airsoft, but it's still not that bad.
I liked to stick with the Mil-sim players. Made it feel more like airsoft.

And it brings up another point...
Let me tell you guys why paintball sucks compared to airsoft.
Guns look like squirt guns. Unless you play with Mil-sim players.
10-12 year olds... EVERYWHERE. We've lost more than once do to a well played ZERG RUSH.
Paintballers are CHEATERS. Very few are actually honorable, so they REQUIRE refs to make sure nobody cheats... and they still do...
Paintballs are expensive.
They hurt more. Harder to cheat at least.
Paintballers in general... are ASS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLES.
ASS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLES.
Oh man, I remember one game, these mil-sim players where barking orders at everyone. Example.
"ALRIGHT, WE'RE GOING TO TAKE THE WEST FIELD, WHO'S GONNA TAKE THE WASH?!"
...
A few people raise their hands,
...
"IF YOU STUPID FUCKS DON'T PICK, WE'LL PICK FOR YOU!"
I say, "Fuck you, unless you want a mutiny. These people are just casual players, and we just want to play a fun game of deathmatch. If you don't like it, stop coming to a public field."
"Stupid kid, fine! but when we lose, everyone's gonna blame you!"
We won, and he didn't apologize.
FUCKING PAINTBALLERS.

ok were talking about grinding gears, you just stripped them and ran them till they were smooth, calm down.  But if you ever are in a small skirmish and your leader is a jerk, mutinies can be fun, and markers (who thought about calling them that) do look like little toy guns. By the way, what is a zerg rush?

A zerg rush refers to the RTS game 'Starcraft' there is a playable race in the game called the zerg where people would build tons and tons of the cheapest units and rush into the enemy's base and wipe them out...kind of refers to people playing speedball as opposed to using tactics; just run and gun.

What grinds my gears is when airsoft feels too much like paintball, when there's no tactics involved...it doesn't have to be milsim (because it's not everyone's playstyle), I just prefer some form of communication and tactical movement during a game.

Almost right out of wiki, from the sounds of it. :D
For me, it just depends on how many people play.
If it's something like 3 v 3 then speedball is fine.
But if it's anything much larger than that tactics are way more fun.

Haha, if that's from the wiki then they wrote it by tapping into my brain because I just winged that explanation, lol.

Accessories & Gear
Discuss any airsoft-related accessories, cothes, or gear. How do you like what you have?

I've been staring at that for over 2 years now. Is there a reason it hasn't been changed?
