new to AZ (prescott)
« on: July 03, 2008, 10:56:19 PM »
i'm getting ready to move down to prescot, AZ.  just wondering if there was a local web site, or local field info somewhere?  or is this the main hub?

i been playing airsoft a while, and now that i'm relocating, i'm hoping to keep my hobby alive.

i'm curious as to what camo works the best down here, i'm from BC, so we can use almost all tyoes of camo except ACU and dessert. multicam works fine though.

what type of weapon  best fits the environment? is there any indoor cqb?

if i think of anything else i'll just post it here. thanks in advance.

Best I can say is keep an eye on this forum for events in your area...there's almost always something going on here (except this weekend, mind you), though chances are it isn't always in your backyard...a lot of our players end up driving an hour or two to reach a game.

Usually the best camouflage depends on where you position yourself.  I say get Multicam as your first (because it works quite well almost anywhere) if you don't have it already then go to a few games and see what works best yourself.

And just about any weapon works fine out here.  Just keep in mind that it isn't going to look new anymore after one or two events, they get quite dirty very fast so you might want to look into something with a quick take down like an  UMP or a P90 for example.

i usually drive about an hour or 2 every weekend to the games, so that's nothing new to me. honestly, i don't know my way around AZ at all, so when i look at games in tempes, pheonix or tuscon, or whatever the other places are called, i have no idea in relation to presott where they are. i guess i'll find out when i get there.
i like multicam. and as for the dirty guns, is it because of the sand/dust?  because i plan on bringing my ptw with me.

thanks again

Yeah usually dust, if not mud.

As for the cities, look on Google Maps/Earth.  You'll be able to see how far they are from where you'll be.

You made me hungry for some ice cream by bringing up dessert camo. I can only dream of the type of environment where you would need to blend in with sugary sweets!
